  1. I was thinking of some of the bigger wilwood kits for escys, i would have thought that they would have the same bearing hole size and depth as standard ones. The standard front disks off the mustang are the same size as escort ones... And if you think they're bad on an escort lol!
  2. Alright guys, anyone got any mk1/2 Escort disks off their car at the moment? Just wanting to know the diameter of the hole in the middle that goes over bearing, also the depth of the total disc - outside face of the disc to the outside face of the bearing end. Trying to work out a cheaper way of putting some bigger brakes on the mustang. With it being the same stud pattern as british ford 4-stud iv heard you can get some mk1 escy kits to fit cheers
  3. Hellloooooo yeah, still alive. The V8 bug was always going to get me, its in the family lol... the 4-pots were just kinder on the insurance. A lot you you younger end would do the same if i told you what i pay in insurance lol (just not in petrol) What used to be this with me and my best mate... now looks like this... 5.7L Cant beat it. i still see you guys at the racing when the rounds clash, i come over for a chin wag everynow and then and i still talk to copey a lot. Sam, still got that Fez front panel for you if you still want it... its not in the way for a while.
  4. I ran into a guy the other day who works around the back of my unit, think he part owns the aluminium spinners round there, when i had the escort a while ago he showed interest in it and at this point id just put the 1660 in it and was thinking about filters after putting the shorter trumpets on the DCOE. i lent him a longer trumpet and forgot all about it Came back to me with these the other day, he'd spun up these ace little things, just a push fit but they dont fooking come off, precise little lip on the insed that the trumpets push past but not off. didnt have the heart to tell him i sold the car as he did them for nothing was thinking of asking him how much they would cost to make a few up if anyone is interestd?
  5. ???? Cheeeers
  6. erm... i need your help hear, what are they worth?, iv seen them go for anywhere between £50 and £300 i dont know if they are gen ford as they were never stamped but they are a fooking good fit, never been fitted only lined up on my capri with clamps? Mark.
  7. tell him iv got some wings for sale.... and a new chrome surround for those head lights!!
  8. If i do end up getting one iv got to get me a chaved up shirt that says something like "NOVA BOI" on it lol
  9. you smoking crack hell no.. thats whats convinced me to get rid and stick with the muscle lol its far too much fun then again... everything is for sale if im offerd enough
  10. the slots were sold a loooong time ago to mesenjah on hear wanna buy your wing back? no.. didnt think so lol
  11. Once looked like this.... Now looks a bit better than this (maybee thats a lie, but its had a lot of welding done since then)
  12. Right then... im hiding behind my hands as i type this... i know there are a few out there that said id never finish it and i always said i would... and its not from lack of dedication that its not going to happen. Realistically, for how i want this capri to be, the money i need to spend to get it there i can go out and buy this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Tru ... 240%3A1318 which i want a lot lot more. When i started the project i had i wedge of inheritance money and no way i could get insurace on the nova so it was out of the question, its simply the amount of time its going to take and what cooler car i could have bought with the money. Pluss, if i spen £15k on a capir.. its still a capri and not going to be worth more the £5k max.... if that so... if anyone is SERIOUSLY interested in a monster capri project PM me, i havnt put it in the for sale room as i can put a price on it, its not like you can come pick it up next week... there are bits all over the country so it's going to take me a while to get it all togerther. info on the car???...... 1971 Mk1 Capri, bronze, was a 1300 but i blew that up, the car had only done 45k miles, all MOTs from new, all recipts from new including a recipt for the 68 capri they traded in to buy this one. All welding has been done on the inner wings and floor area. all interior still prestant and in good condition New bits for the car New wings (not fitted), new boot lid, new sills (fitted) new rear arches (not fitted), spare door (it was cheap) new door cards from aldridge to match brow interior, new GAZ front coilovers and rear dampers, Mint rear chrome hockey stick trim, new glass seals (unfitted, glass still in car), front RS chin spoiler (not original RS), Richard grant spoiler, new brown carpet, N.O.S whole headlight assembly (rare!) I had the stock rear axle converted to 5-stud along with a pair of 9inch drums to fit american wheels and also have some 5 stud hubs to fit the front, the half shafts obviously cant be changed back... that is the only modification on the car that changes the originality from the car, no work to fit the V8 was ever done so the bulkhead and tunnel are all stock. i also binned the front half of the wiring loom as i bought a mk3 front loom to fit. also got a 2.8 anti roll bar that was to fit there will be loads more bits to add to this lot as iv been buying bits hear and there for 2 years now... the car at the minuit is totally stripped down... nothing inside, no doors, no wings attatched but all bits are presant So if your serious PM me
