  1. I believe it's the second Monday of the month. I have seen cars there from around 6.30pm onwards.
  2. Sunday, as in 31st May (Classic Ford).
  3. Hi all Just to confirm the event is definitely on so if anybody fances a drive over then see you there. Arrival from 2pm onwards. It will be a small gathering as it stands so feel free to make up the numbers! Appreciate the comments about late notice which are justified and noted for any future events. As an aside, the KLCC is reasonably active with some interesting cars within the club with regular show attendance. There will be some club members at Santa Pod on Sunday (I can't make it) so go and have a word with them if you like. Club site is www.klcapriclub.co.uk if you want to have a gander (hope I'm not breaking any rules here). Cheers.
  4. Just to clarify, all classics welcome, not just Capri's!
  5. Hi all - drove past the Fenland OSF 2nd meet last night at the Coffee House as I was on route to the KLCC monthly meeting in Gayton, King's Lynn. We have a club Show & Shine event this Saturday at the Crown Public House, Gayton from 2pm - WEATHER PERMITTING. Will be a laid back affair, probably 8-10 cars on show as it stands, but everyone is welcome. Be good to meet some of the OSF Club members if you fancy a drive over. Apologies for the short notice. Will know if the event is to be postponed first thing Friday morning and will update here. Cheers.
  6. Loving the two tone paint job. Not sure about the number though? Good luck with it ha ha
  7. Thanks for the comments everyone. Still got the Type9 but it has been modded with larger bearings, apparently done away with the lay shaft etc. According to those that are in the know it has had a good job done and will be a lot stronger, but as I said earlier, I don't know the technicalities of it. Another guy with a TT Capri has had the same mod done, although changed the bell housing for an alloy one - mine is still the pig-iron item! Relied on a mate from another club to remove the box (he runs his own garage) but he sent it off to a specialist gearbox rebuilder he has been using for 20+ years... Back in with new clutch etc and seems smooth although not used since refitted due to the turbo work required. Updates to follow.
  8. Hi there. Justin here from Peterborough. Thought it best to introduce myself having registered this morning. I own a MK3 Capri, 2.8i Turbo Technics in Cardinal Red. Was on the way to another club meeting on Monday of this week and tripped over your gathering in Guyhirn. Had to do a u-turn despite running late to have a nose and take some pics - some great cars in the club, especially the range of Escorts on show... My car has just had a gearbox rebuild and been modded to Cosworth-esque standard as the original box was starting to implode! Car now awaiting a turbo rebuild which is booked for the first week in May so my car is off the road presently. Hope to meet up with some of you in the near future and get to know you and the club. For the record I am an engineering bafoon and will be of no use to anyone in terms of technical guidance or tips! Sorry about that.... All the best.
