  1. Got a few photos will have to scan them as there were taken with a non digital camera (what ever that is lol) yea he loved it as he bought it to replace his pride and joy a mk1 Mexico that got written off by some women who. Pulled out in front of him while doing 60 odd. Only just survived poor sod
  2. I get what your saying but think the Crome would look better ( will go with bumpers and mirrors ect) plus in a strange way I think the letters look better to me the oval look too modern if that make sense.,
  3. Cheers guys looking forward to getting it home and getting started on it
  4. Yea it is standard as it has not been touched for the last 17 years. The engine was bored out last time the engine was rebuilt in 1994. The plan is to get it to look like concourse condition with a few tweeks. Looking at rs 4 spoke wheels coilovers for front to firm up handling and about 1 inch drop blocks on back. I'm also looking for the original grill. My dad says it had the chrome edged one with the letters ford rather than the oval badge but they seem to be rare and anything with square headlights
  5. Thought I would say hi, just signed up as in near future going to need all the help I can get, Finally persuaded my old man and my wife to let me me restore the old family work horse a 1977 mk2 escort 1.6 ghia. My dad owned it since 1984 but then started to rust at the back so in 1998 it was dry stored (no money at the time and parts were hard to find) but now after 3 years of pestering he has agreed lol, oh and yes engine still cranks over so not seized, Wilco
