  1. First outing in the newly acquired MK5 Estate. A good show but spoiled by terrible weather. Here's some pics of the Old Skool Fords which braved the rain.
  2. Aah, that's probably more to do with the fact that I didn't photograph many of them. The MK1 is probably my least favourite Cortina. I'll try to do better next time!
  3. Had a cracking day out at Cortina Day on 5th June. Loads of Old Skool Fords, not just Cortinas. The weather was brilliant, all-in-all a very enjoyable trip. Pity I did not have a Cortina to drive there myself but that has now been rectified so I have something to take next year! Here are pictures from the day. Enjoy!
  4. Hi all. I picked up this little beauty last weekend from Lowestoft. It's a 1600L, all original (even has the original radio). Needs a bit of TLC and a few replacement panels but overall not too bad. It was a one-owner car up till April this year and has a full service history up to 2011. Been out and about in it a few times but it does need an engine tune so other than the drive back from Lowestoft I haven't ventured too far.

  5. Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Got chatting to a few guys there and will hopefully pick up a few much needed parts for my own 68 Deluxe project. Did find a Haynes Manual, plus an Autodata one and also a 68 Cortina Owner Handbook to add to the Library! Also go the missus a much-needed beenie hat and a smart cast iron Bell for the House so it ticked all the boxes!
  6. My Wife and I visited the Kent All Ford Show at Aylesford Priory today. A great turnout of many different Classic and Modern Fords. Lots of MK2 Cortinas there which was nice to see. Here's a few pics from the show.
  7. Here's a few pics of old Fords I've owned over the years. The Ford Ranger is my current daily driver.

  8. Hi All. Just thought I'd drop in and say hi. Recently bought a MK2 Cortina equipped with a 1800 Zetec as a restoration project. Busy with the strip-down at the moment but I'm sure I'll be on here asking questions later. My first Car was a MK2 1600 Super, so as I'm now firmly into mid-life-crisis territory I decided to go back to my roots. I've attached a pic of me in my first Cortina taken back in 1984.
