Hi all, finally bit the bullet and bought a Mk2 last week, was on a bit of whim after visiting a nostalgia racing event at croft. I'm sick of pawing over other peoples cool mk2's and mk1's so I thought sod it, bit the bullet and piled in and bought one. the car started life as a 1600 sport, ive got a an article with the car that shows it to be the first ever mk2 escort 1600 sport out of the factory, (i'll wait for one you to tell me other wise) the car now is in full rally trim, 2000 pinto, stripped inside with full cage, rally dash and bucket seats and harnesses, drove it back from Northampton to Yorkshire last week, which is more miles in one day that's its done in the past 4 years. now got the pleasure of getting my head round what all the components are and getting it ready to be driven in anger, planning to do some classic rallying, the road rallying type, not too aggressive loving the ownership already, driving home from Northampton up the M1 I spent the whole journey with people driving past filming the car, awesome,
