Thanks for the help and info,that probably accounts for all the c**p, I found in the extension housing

Can anyone help,with my gearlever,,as you can see there appears to be something missing on the lever like a moulded dome part, that would keep the screw cap attached to the lever This is out of a 1969 2000GT Capri and a Type 3 gearbox I believe Is there a part I can get,or do I need another lever ?
