  1. Thanks! I did a fair amount of reading on the Burton site and whilst it appears as though there's a lot you can do to the crossflow, it's anything but cheap.
  2. Yes, incredibly dusty! To the best of my knowledge, it was last on the road in 1980! So some 38 years since even turning a wheel.
  3. I haven't got any great shots of the car sadly but this is the most recent photo which I took this weekend just gone. It's purbeck (sp?) grey. The 1600 GT had the 1600 Kent Crossflow fitted. It was less desirable than the 1600E but is actually now rarer than the 1600E.
  4. Hi all, Several years ago I inherited a Mk2 Cortina 1600GT that has been in the family since the early 70s. It's a 1967 which makes it a phase 1. This year I plan to move it from it's current garage to my garage at home whereby I can set about getting it up and running. Fortunately it's been dry stored so there is no rust other than a panel which was damaged sometime before it went into storage. Fortunately I have a genuine rear wing ready to be painted and popped on so it should make for a rust free example. Once up and running, I'd like to actually use it where possible and this has given me ideas about fitting more modern running gear so as I can keep up with traffic. I haven't decided either way so I'll put some threads up with my ideas and weigh up the pros & cons before deciding either way. Thanks for reading!
