Hello all, I’m new to the site and thought I’d introduce myself.
I’ve recently purchased a Mk2 Escort after toying with the idea of building a GRP4 spec shell with a Cosworth YB engine for a number of years. I’ve been away from the Ford scene for quite some time (18yrs), but have owned a couple of RS turbos in the past and found some of the other enthusiast sites back then to be very useful for parts and tips. Hopefully the same can be said of this site, and good help and guidance can be found along my journey. I’m not planning on a quick build, and its more likely to take place over 3-5yrs, but I’ll be sure to add updates along the way. I’m not a mechanic or a panel beater, but have repaired quite a few salvage vehicles over the years so have a good understanding of how things work.
