Hi
A few years ago I bought a Navy blue ford escort MK6 auto with 25k miles on the clock. The car is near mint - I have a little work to do - and its unmolested.
During lockdown I disconnected the battery and a few days ago went back with a new Bosch battery, new battery terminal clamps etc. I've connected the new battery and anything electrical works EXCEPT theres no fuel pump priming and no ignition. Ive checked all the fuses and none are blown. My guess is that the immobiliser has been activated after I connected the new battery. I have 2 ignition keys that have always worked but not the red master key.
Temporarily Im happy to bypass the immobiliser so I can get the car to a garage. Or I could get a mobile auto electrician to visit.
Have any of you experienced this before, found a solution or know how to bypass the imobiliser?
This car is not going to get scrapped - its brilliant. Any help you can give me to reanimate my lovely motor will be gratefuly received.
