Good points but as the car is registered as an historic vehicle neither of these would apply. I'm beginning to think it may be better to let sleeping dogs lie!

Just to be clear I've informed my insurance company of all the modifications so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm just not clear what problems could arise if the DVLA are holding incorrect data.

I've recently purchased my Mk2 Escort which was extensively refurbished by the previous owner (see my post on the Newbie forum). The work included installing a 1600 xflow engine which I understand has been rebored to 1700cc. The V5C is still showing the car as a 1.3L. What do people inform the DVLA in cases like this?

I'm the same, haven't really driven it yet. It's safely in storage until the weather breaks 🙂

I have recently bought the above car from a dealer and would like to know a bit about it's history. The car came with a large number of photos and I know it was originally red but the previous owner has done a great job of painting it light blue. I'm hoping that the previous owner is/was a member of OSF and will contact me. Or maybe there's others on here who may know about the car or owned it in the past. Any messages gratefully received.
