Hi all, I've been shooting a documentary around a motorcycle stuntman from Liverpool during the 1980s, he jumped over two high rise tower blocks setting a still (and probably never again) unchallenged world record. However he done it all not for fame or money but to bring justice to an abuser within his old children's home, this then helped spark nationwide police operations in the 90s. He's continuing to fight for child protection laws still today which will hopefully be brought in to protect millions of kids UK wide in the near future. We are currently shooting some minor reenactment scenes from some of his story, and we are in need of an old van from the 1970/80s, basically anything battered or looked after from that time period, that will pass as the stuntman's van at the time they used to do recce's for jumps. Would there be anyone, or does anyone know of anyone, who would like to come along to Liverpool for 20th July, it should only be for a few hours max. Petrol, etc would of course be paid for. We have been shooting with zero budget however as the story has already gathered a lot of attention, and formal interest from a distributor, we would be happy to offer an upfront small and also full deferred hire fee. The documentary, as entertaining as it is, is a social impact project and aims to have a big effect not just locally but UK wide, especially for children, so it really is for a fantastic cause. If anyone also knows of anyone in the Merseyside area with any classic vans from that period and can pass their contact that would also be great. Due to the nature of the documentary we are so grateful to have had so much help already from everyone from locals to the mayor's office and further afield, so any help for this would be really appreciated!
