  1. Haha, thanks Dave but the furniture & bike are not mine, that was in the shed of the guy I bought it from. The ZZ Top machine (presumably the MG doing the photo-bomb), yes absolutely.
  2. Hello to all, Andrew here from Melbourne, Australia. I'm fairly new to fast Fords although I've owned, restored, driven & loved quite a few other cars in my time (and currently). About this time last year I bought a 1971 Twin Cam Escort which was owned by a motor trimmer and mostly restored through the trade about 20 years ago. Paradoxically it was the interior that needed finishing but after 20 years I found loads of other stuff that needed fettling so it's taken longer than I thought to get it on the road - sounds familiar right? Anyway, it's an Australian delivered car built in November 1971 so I believe it's right on the changeover point when our Twin Cams became GT 1600's. However it does have the Twin Cam model number 11119 on the ID plate and TC badges so I'll stick with that. Originally Bronze Wine in colour, it was repainted in Ultra White which was/is a quality job and looks great but I wish they'd done it in the original and rare colour. It was also changed given round headlights rather than the rectangular Aussie style - obviously they were looking for the English look. Maybe one day I'll change it back to original but it will stay as it is for now. I have some history of the car but not complete, and it is listed on the register run by Glenn Bryant on Retards Club. It came with heaps of spares from another car and, not being familiar with the differences between various models, I've been struggling with some details in the rebuild. I'm glad to have found this forum in the hope I can get some much needed advice. Cheers
