  1. Welcolm from a 75 year old newby. My wife quite often asks "anything planned for tomorrow" I always reply "wake up, anything else is a bonus. Phil.
  2. A couple more pics taken during my road rally days. First pic is on the Altlas plant rally in Herefordshire in 1981 and second on the August Moon Rally 1982 (I think). Hope you like them.
  3. Thanks for the warm welcolm guys. Cosidering it was abused in it's ealy days it looks and still drives like it used to. Phil.
  4. I have been lucky to have owned RS Escorts since 1975. First a Mk1 Modena green demonstrator purchased from Bristol Street Motors in Cheltenham for £1700. Kept it for about 3 years. Used it on many Cotswold road rallies until I sold it to buy my Mk2, again, from Bristol Street in 1978. This was used, again, for road rallies until 1984 when the MSA banned Targa timing and stopped Cotswold Rallies virtually overnight. Fast forward to now and still have the RS after 47 years. I had it fully restored about 12 years ago and now just comes out of the garage on sunny days. I had a new upgraded engine built at the same time. Spec. is 2.1L running 45 Webbers, big valve ported head with 44mm inlets and 38mm exhaust valves. Burton BF134 camshaft and Kent cam verier pully. H&H electronic ignition, all fully balanced with double doweled flywheel and single plate competion clutch. It produces 152 BHP at 6600RPM and 151ft/lbs torque at 4400RPM. Pic below.
