  6. Yer the guy is called matt, it started life as a basic 1.1 but it had a respray a couple of years back, got a 1700 crossflow and nice seats and harnesses, got a panhard rod and a couple of little bits, looks pretty tidy for a car of its age, very low rot levels, i'm seeing him this week if you want more info, think he'll let it go for a sensible offer and yer tom is chessington boy, top bloke even tho he looks like john terry's brother!!! and i'm just up the road in epsom, where you at?
  7. ok first off dont panic! Can you weld? if so cut out the surface steel neatly using a thin metal cutting disc, only remove a neat section of the surface panel, only about 10mm beyond the inner layer of rust. now using the disc again remove all of the rusted inner section. Measure up a plate to fit in the cut out area, prime the back of it and then weld it in. now grind back the welds and then fully prime the section. The exterior panel now needs to be measured and cut in, try and butt join it as opposed to lap. Weld it up and then grind back, sand it down and coat of primer and your done!v

  15. Sorry lads but your all gonna hate this, I think your wrong, chips away and all smart repairers are limited to what they can and cant blow in or touch up, Depends on what paint you've got if its a solid colour you could try a smart repairer but honestly if it was me, i'd save up and get the wing painted!
