  1. Sold , going Wednesday.
  2. Just reckon it deserves more than being my daily driver.
  3. Decided that as much as i like my mk5, i think she deserves more than being used as a daily. So in the very near future (couple of weeks) she will be for sale. I will add some photos tonight, but basics are. Two tone green carousel, dark green repainted 18 months ago after she was keyed, had a new n/s wing at the same time. 85000 miles, 25000 in the 3 years I've owned it. Got remote alarm with central locking and remote boot release. Lowered on 6 and 7 x 13 revolutions with 185/60s. Tow bar, but that was only fitted 6 months ago and only used twice, once to collect small trailer and then a pedal car for the baby. Pm me for more info. Will be looking for approx £2250. Fresh mot today as well . Owned it longer than I remember , looks like 4 years. Thread on it. http://www.buysellcortina.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/41831-mk5-carousel/page__hl__carousel
  4. Can anyone help me identify this pinto cam cover that I have in my posession. It was originally rough cast and I polished it.
  5. Yes mate , consul pics were at the Nats afew years ago , about 6 weeks after I sold it.
  6. Yes mate, on the cover about 18 months ago.
  7. Your right, that will teach me to write something like this late friday after without reading through it.
  8. This is the wifes car , if its not suitable I will delete it just ask. 1966 Vauxhall Viva , Zetec with Eaton super charger, cossie intercooler, sierra 5 speed , anglia axle , 2.8 capri front brakes and granada rear. (lots of ford bits).
  9. Current daily driver is a mk5 cortina carousel. Bought of ebay last year pretty much standard apart from laser 4 spokes. Now sits lower and the 4 spokes have been polished. Only got 60,000on the clock so reluctant to mess too much but will probably get a zetec later. And with her older brother
  10. I've had old fords since I started driving .One of my first was a mk2 cortina which I still have now. Started with a crossflow , then Pinto powered for 14 years , now sitting engineless waiting for turbo power. This is how she looked just before engine removal. May be recognised as been in a few mags , Performance Ford,Classic Ford, Retro Ford and M#x P#w~r. Also had a mk1 Consul for a few years . Bought with a 350 chevy engine. Just needed paint and trim really. Sold it because the cortina was not being used. Was also subject to a Classic Ford feature.
  11. Thanks for the welcome. Will get picture of my cars in readers rides as soon as possible.
  12. Nice one, do like 4 doors on 7x13s .You'll see why when I get the pictures of mine up.
  13. Mk1 Consul was a fun car, was in Classic Ford a few years ago just before I sold it . If your a long time reader you may remember it , pearl dark blue on 17" tsw imola wheels. Did melt tyres. Hopefully my mk2 cortina will be as powerful soon as I sold the pinto last month and am on the search for a new doner vehicle with a large turbo.
  14. Will do a readers rides thread , just having problems linking my pictures! and there is a few. I've had the cortina 17 years now.
