Thanks Mad Mex, As you say, it was probably wearing a new set of plates within a fairly short time.

Hopefully the insurance will pay out in time,you can never be sure until the money is in your bank. It depends on how they got the keys i.e if you left them in the car while you went to pay for petrol then they would be more unlikely to pay out as the insurance company could say you hadn't taken reasonable precautions. It's the hassle that goes with it as well.

Hi, I believe I'm correct in saying that if you sign to say you have recieved the memo it can be deemed you accept it and are giving the company permission to make deductions from your wages/salary. The only deductions that can be taken without specific permission are income tax and national insurance if you are an employee. If in any doubt don't sign anything.
