Just thought i would ressurect this thread! Just to let you know I did in the end get £700 for the pinto and carbs, which is a very good price imo. Went ahead with the same guy, he had the engine and scrapped the cappers Got my hands on what i wanted too, which unfortunately is banned content on this site, but I will post a few pics nonetheless as I love it! Quite a big spec on it too... Stage 3 Jamsport head Low comp Hybrid T3 Cossie discs all round Full stainless Pipercross filter Lowered 25mm all round Samcos Big alloy rad Front mount intercooler EFi conversion Kent cvh35 cam Beige injectors and chip ready to go in when i can afford the set up. Doubt this car will go down well but let me know what you think.

Right now I either need to get my car to doncaster, or back home to canterbury. Its near stanstead currently. Anyone know the best way of doing it? Know any decents numbers i can call for transportation or possibly anyone got a trailer and i'd be able to sort them out? Cheers guys.

cheers for the comments guys, well fingers crossed i can strip the parts, it still ran when it got to the reclament lockup, and on all 4 cylinders and both carbs, so theres a few quid there, and the buckets and interiors keepable. Some clean panels, passenger door tailgate rear bumper all good still

So my OSF really didn't want to leave me after 3 years together! About 100 miles and 2 hours away from saying goodbye in a part exchange, I see a transit infront of my stop dead, colliding with the car infront. Now my capri brakes aren't amazing by a long way but i had no chance. RIP Capri Apologies if anyone got stuck on the M11 around 12 midday yesterday (friday), apparently there was a 20 mile jam because of it! 2 ambulances, 3 police, 2 highway maintenance and 2 helicopters?! Luckily nobody was hurt which is the main thing, but it was hard to swallow.

cheers for the comments people! Never been on the same road as a 2.8 unfortunately The bonnet, well xpackglyn did it for me, but as far as i can tell tyou loosen off the nuts and just pull it forward and up, then tighten back up mate

Yeah, learnt all about his bda car and the pinto'd escort. Was very helpful and chatty, went through it step by step explaining what he was doing. 4 hours on the RR cost me 117.50 too so great service in my opinion

45's on a pinto with a fast road cam and exhaust system + manifold? Never thought of that...

Got back form sanspeed today. He fitted the 36mms but said there was no point keeping them, as my carbs are the old, old, old 40's and they would not like the 36s, as a run on the road proved. So stuck the 30's back in and had a tune up, giving me 130bhp (10 more) so fairly happy, just dissapointed about the chokes, on the look out for some slightly more modern 40's for my pinto now if anyone knows of any!!!

Well lets hope so, bexelyheath isn't toooo far for me either!

Just booked it up with sanspeed for tuesday. They want me to fit the chokes myself and drive gingerly to bexelyheath though

I know of Track and Road but the number i have doesn't get an answer, are there any others around the area that can deal well with carbs?
