  15. Yeh thats about the same as ive heard, ive also heard they sound amazing which is the main reason for going for twins!! not to bothered about performance, if i want fast i will put the bike on the road!!!!
  16. Last week i had a clear out from my bedroom - this included full capri recaro interior BBS alloys from golf 20 litres of different coloured paint still in there some interior bits + my new steering wheel 4 x 15 inch subs + 2 1000w amps (so tempted to wire up and annoy the neighbours) and a cupboard full of small bits like, fuel pumps, cables, clips etc. 3 sets of polybushes for MK1/2 golfs. i cant wait to get my own place, so much storage space
  17. How boring are cars nowadays!!! why cant designers go back to cars like this...... That thing is stunning!
  18. Read an article on them in Retro Ford or Classic ford and they seem ok to do. Think all bike carbs are fitted with silicone hose between them and the manifold so should be easy to do. I phoned Bogg Bros the other week and they quoted £260 to make the manifold and Jet the carbs, its a bit expensive but not to bad.
  19. Yeh most top end sports bike where 40mm bodies. The only difference i can find is that you need to fit a regulator to resrict fuel flow as the bike carbs are normally gravity fed from the tank.
  20. couldnt agree more, every car was still individual. Im not really a Blue oval person, i just love old cars, and nothing says retro like a MK1 ford !!!! as said, i think MK1/2 escorts are popular cause they are easy to mod, pretty easy to get parts for thanks to the rally boys and in my opinion, a mk1 with bubble arches and wide wheels just look amazing.
  21. im just running a standard 2.0l pinto, i have an Ashley 4 branch system and will eventually fit a cam. Thats about all i have planned. im running a 32/36 webber just now. I think i can do the conversion for about £400, where as webbers will cost that 2nd hand, and will probably be knackered.
  22. I know mate, but there must be more to life than webbers!!!!!
  23. Hey i done a search but couldnt find an answer i was lookin for..... I was considering R1 carbs for my capri. Everyone ive asked before has said not to do it and fit webbers instead. what r the draw backs to fitting bike carbs? Does it really effect torque that much. Anyone had any probs with them? and is there anything i should know before i do it, any advice?? cheers folks
  24. seconded, do it......... thirded!!!! will look mint!!!!
  25. heres the new toy! 1.6 laser, just got it motd and is now back on the road after being garaged for 10years! Its my first old skool ford (mk3 fiesta 1.0 doesnt count). Its running totally s**** at the min! ive replaced the cap, rotor arm, leads, plugs, points! still waiting on a condenser hopefully thats the problem, failing that mite need to try a new distributor or get the carb re-jetted! Anyone know much about pinto carbs pm me please!!!!
