  1. Hi guys, Basically I bought a steering wheel today at classic ford show on the premise that it would fit a mk2 Escort and after having read on here that mk2 Escort wheels fit MkV Cortinas. Anyway got it home and whipped my wheel off the Cortina and for some reason it won't fit heres why: The splined part of the boss won't fit over the threaded part of the column let alone the splined part, it seems too small to fit over the threaded portion but only by a VERY SMALL fraction. I'm guessing i've obviously bought something that won't fit my car but i'd also like to know now if anybody could tell me what it SHOULD fit so that once i've restored it I can sell it on to someone that will be able to use it. I know it's a Mountney steering wheel and Boss but not sure for what ford. Many thanks Also could anyone please put up any pics of Genuine Ford Steering wheels that do fit straight onto the MkV so that I know what i'm looking for in future Many thanks again people
  2. This car is awesome fella I really love the look of it. Do you mind me asking where you got your 80mm springs from please though as I would love some and that sits better than any other cortina I've seen. Also I'm planning on Pulybushing mine all round, do you notice a MAJOR difference in handling once lowered and bushed?? Thanks in advance
  3. That is Jaw dropping mate, without a doubt one of the nicest Fiesta's i've ever seen!
  4. Cheers people, I wasn't gonna go too low as it is a daily driver, I like the sound of 2 inch! As for wheels basically same as sierra then? I have my heart set on something like Minilites or Slotmags or Revo's as I don't personally like the modern wheels on older cars. Also what would I be able to transplant interior wise? Would Capri Recaro's fit? Cossie Steering wheel? etc..... Cheers
  5. Well I joined here a while ago and managed to cause a little controversy when I posted a pic of my Sierra Cosworth. Anyway I've finally bought myself an OldSkool ford heres my Cortina Apologies for the pictures being poor quality I'll get some better ones up when I've tidied it up, Anyway I would love some advice from fella Cortina owners as i'm after lowering it slightly and getting some 15"x8 miniltes, can anyone recommend the best place to get these? Well I hope I qualify as a proper 'OldSkoolFord' owner now and i'm looking forward to my time here.
