  1. Now I do agree with that, as you say, lets see how many want to come here then
  2. Which RS came with 185 then?? Came with 175/70's didnt they yes I think your right, 175 on mk2 RS, on 6j's, mk1 was 5.5j, so what tyre did they have?
  3. I got told this from a fella I know, who used to build engines and race rally. The usual thing people do is put 205 on a 7" RS Escort wheel, or even on the 6" He told me the handling is worse because of the "rolling" as you mention, so Im sticking with 185 as it should be on an RS Escort, when I get my 7" wheels PS love your avatar, cant stop looking at it

    Iron Maiden

altime band for me, I have a tattoo of the trooper
  5. I was on the Valleys Sports and Classics tour. It was a great day with a fantastic turnout of classics. Oh and Awesome, I was entering the Coach and Horses car park as you left, going sideways! Put a big grin on my face as I heard the women shrieking sitting outside on the benches!
  6. Really good vid, I loved the jump also
  7. just look what a bit of sun and warmth does to preserve
  8. A mate of mine took his escort in for a mot, after it had been standing for a while, the old petrol didn't hardly produce any emissions! The mot tester asked if it was old petrol because of such a low reading
  9. On the old failure sheets it used to state that you could only drive vehicle to and from mot station or to a pre-agreed garage for repairs, not sure if that has changed though. [/code] Ahhh, that's the point Im after Cookie, I wonder if its still the same?
  10. Ok I will try it, thanks Steve, carbs are not my forte! They said at the mot that she was about 3 times over on hydrocarbons! But the machine didnt seem to be working right, and I dont think they knew what the limit was for a mk2 pinto, probably never done one before!
  11. lol wessie. Yes Steve I was thinking that, but once I start fiddling, I don't want to knacker it up! Maybe I will take the risk, trouble is the plod will pull over an rs2000 just to look at it around here, sticks out like a sore thumb! Would be nice if we were covered to go for mot work though
  12. Yes, although it doesn't necessarily have to be the rollers, a tuning centre would be ok to pass the mot, it just so happens that a rolling road tuner is about 2 miles away
  13. Yes that is right, as long as its insured you can drive back and fore an mot station, Im wondering does this rule apply for mot work? But I tend to agree with Johnnyh< I don't think so
  14. Hi folks. Took my rs2000 for an mot, and the 45's are not set up properly and it failed on emissions. I know I was covered to and from the mot as its insured, but it has no mot and no tax. Couple of other things like brakes I will burn the midnight oil over the winter in the garage as its not coming out in the winter. But, I'm wondering, am I covered to drive it to a rolling road? as its going for mot failure work? I'm guessing on the side of no, but I may be wrong Thanks, Stu
