  1. cool, well ill keep an eye on this to see how this goes, trouble is with mega squirt, i knew somone that went for this but dont think ever got any sucess from it, not sure what i wanna do, coz ive spent way to much on the pinto for what ive gained, so if i carry on with the pinto, i need to look ferver into ecu's and stuff. ill have to deside aftermy holiday. its nice to find somone that knows there stuff about pinto efi's, coz there rare lol
  2. yeh, been looking around at the chips you can get, looks to be a few avalible for the eec iv but dont really want the limmiter to be much higher with a bog std bottem end, as could end in disastor, out of intrest any you would reccomemnd, known to work well with the efi system?
  3. yeh, ive got a 2 and a half week road trip to france/spain/ibiza, starting from thersday and ive gotta drive 150 miles on thersday and another 150 miles at the end of the mounth as were not taking my car. and i was thinking of buying one of those payen sets that are on ebay, but ill just put up with the smoke and top it up for now, high reving the efi dosent let u go much past 6 k any way. thanks for the welcome and the help
  4. i dunno why i went for cvh seals, i guess i found good reports on them, and when i did em the 3rd time it dident look like there was any difference in size between the cvh and std seals, so i used the slim ones, big mistake. might be worth a go tho, i need to do the tappets again anyway.
  5. ive looked through the kent book and the fr34 cam has the most life of the fr range, the only ones that have suvived are the slim style, but as i said they slip off, normal single spring came in the kent cam kit, what do u people do with the mega high lift cams, i guess its head work? thanks, there must be a way of getting round this ? (copyed from kent website) 7.62(mm) cam lift on a fr34 I 12.67 E 12.31(mm) valve lift on a fr34 7.36(mm) cam lift on a fr30 I 11.93 E 11.73(mm) valve lift on a fr30
  6. in a capri. resentlly i did a bit of head work with a skim, you know the everyday drivable benifits, 35tho skim, fr 34 cam and a bit of diy polishing/porting. however i cant seam to sort my valve seals out, so far in the last 1000 miles since the cam ive had the engine out twice to clean the sum out and replace my oil pump jue to valve seals destrying there selves, i started off with the cvh ones, thinking after a few miles it started smoking again thought it was a dodgy batch, i then replaced them again, but it was no use, i then replaced em with the kent cam slim ones, but i was told they slipped off! and 500 miles later after a good thrashing to santa pod 1 or 2 have slipped off, now i did try superglueing them, but i guess with the heat there wasnet a chance shorly somone else is using the fr34 cam what have you done? new i should of just got the fr32 cam.
