Cheers all - My list of Things to Do is getting ever longer!!! Gonna be a fun week

I signed up ages ago but only really got round to posting now... I currently own a Mk5 Cortina, originally a 1.6 Carousel, but when I bought it, it already had a 2 litre engine and 5 speed box, and was destined to be used for track racing. I've had it 3 1/2 years, has been pretty trouble free, apart from killing the brake master cylinder on the way home from buying it, and blowing up the gearbox on the M6 last year It's time I did some serious work on it now, as it has a few niggles, hoping to take a week off and shut myself in a workshop. My experience of actually fixing anything is pretty limited - I can diagnose things quite well but I never get to fix it - hoping to change that pretty soon, and I have a good friend to help me out, hopefully I can find some pointers on here
