They were advertised by a chap in Northern Ireland as Truck Spotlights. He advertised sometimes on EBay for the type with the ring round the outside in 9". He did have onbe set of plain lamps inhis shop so I bought them. Then about two weeks later he got back in touch having found a second set, I bought them also. The lampos have ythe look of the Cibie lamp with the funny name that I cant recall? They are just made of plastic so very light and wont rust. I have a box full of Cibies and 20-20 lamps but jus thought these lamps would be sorted for this car. The brackets are the quick release ally type that a bloke made up for me. I wired them up so the connectors can be broken and the lights easily removed also. Relays are connected to the main beam switch feed but also toggle switched on the dash so they can go on or off. I just like all six lights to flash at once...tart! Very bright lights by the way, much better than justthe little oval standard ones! Cheers Dave... -

Four Escorts mate, I have the Mk2 as well... oops! The side stripes are possibly longer but come cut anyway, so you get a few extra inches to play about with atthe door cuts. You also need to cut a small piece to go over the filler neck hole, estaes dont have it in the same place. The only bit you need to specify longer are the roof stripes, you need 7 foot in total, so much longer than standard ones. If you mention it to the grahics people they can cut them longer for you, one end is straight and square cut at the glass anyway so dead easy. Cheers to monkey by the way! -

Nice, thats more like it! Is anyone like me when you see an old ford driving down the road? I just about nearly snap my neck and get all excited. My mates and family think I mad! Even an old rusty bucket driving up the road does more for me than seeing some fancy Aston go past. I mean, which do you see more of these days?? Nice!! -
Thats me fella. Its a RS1600 by the way. Had it on show at Ellerslie in Auckland one year, got heaps of attention in NZ. Sadly had to sell Tango, but I still have the sweet Turbo YB Mk2! Sweet looking engine there by the way. A mate of mine right up in bushman land of Northland has been building a Mk2 with S2000 engine in it. A bit further south in Whangarei my mate Pete is building a proper ex-woks Walmart RS1600 he found in a field! He also does tarmac events in his RS18. You may have seen him? There is a fella in Auckland that messes with CA lumps and Escorts, another Pete. He builds some real nice engines. You may of also heard of Herberts in Auckland? Check out their website for some fantastic fabrication and race prep work. They built many of the one off parts for my current Mk2. I know of only one Mk2 YB in NZ just now, but its been work in progress for many years. Its actually in a Mk2 Van. The fella lives on the West cpast in Dargaville. Memeber of the NZ Van Club. Mad as a badger he is! I also used to own the plate MKIBDA, but that got snapped up on TradeMe real quick. I miss NZ me!! Cheers...

Cheers mate. Will be even better when I finally get the Mk2 out under its own steam!! Cars normally live inside by the way. I just always seem to take snaps when they are out the front being swapped around in the garage. The street looks class when they are all out to play! -

I am a right lazy get me, I have done bugger all this year really!! Well, had the floor all painted twice underneath I suppose? But other than making up the pedal box and finally fitting the hydraulic resevoir and connecting all the cooling system, thats about it!! Right, I have said it so many times now, but this time I mean it (Ha!), this car will be ready for next year... Well, maybe I have done a few more jobs than I remembered. But still alazy get for not getting this car ready this year!! Too many jobs and so little time. I promise... Cheers Dave...

We used to have a Beer Fish Trap club in New Zealand. Sounds crazy to the folks not in the club but good all same. Basically worked around having to carry the plastic bit from the top of a six pack of beer in your wallet at all times. If another member meets you and gets out his trap, you have to show yours. If you dont have the trap on you... its your round for beer! The Fish movement travels far and wide my friend!!! -

Looks very similar to your signature pic? I still cant work out what actual colour the car is by the way? I am going to repaint it maybe next year, but keep the same shade of Red. Cheers
