hey guys , i will have avaiable a black 1978 3.0s in the next week or 2, the car is currently Sorn as has been off the road since 2005 and has no mot(8years) but will have 12 months ticket when sold. I still have some little jobs left to do like bulbs a few little electrical jobs and need to give it a good valet ETC!! Hence why i say avaiable in a week or 2 !! The plan was to give the car a light re commissioning and use it and sell my 300zx however i think i will keep the 300. Basically the reason this car was put away so many years ago was this, the guy i purchased the car of has owned it twice first in the 90s, and then when he was offered the chance to buy it back in 2005 he couldnt refuse however he just put her away in his lock up as he had other cars. bodywork .The car is 100% solid underneath and does not look like its ever been welded. .I have removed all wheels and steam cleaned under the arches and treated them with waxoil and then stonechip for protection .No rust on the body panels does have the odd mark here and there on the paint but nothing that spoils the look of the car the car. .A posts , sills, arches all mint .. .under the bonnet was stripped back to bare metal , were i found no rust but the car had had top plates and drip rails welded in, so this leads me to think the wings have been replaced however they fit really well with good even gaps ( so genuine wings may have been used) inner wings were then zinc primed stonechipped and re painted so very well protected for years to come. Engine & gbox .Everything seems to do what it should runs really well quiet an smooth, gbox operates as it should as does the clutch. SUSPENSIONN & BRAKES Monroe rear shocks have been fitted and also a new set of front pads apart from that all standard, the car drives well and in a straight line :)/>/>/>/>/> (unlike most) probably one of the most solid on the road i have drove. (Albeit only used around my culdesac) wheels are 13" compmotives with nearly new tyres all around, History .This car is most definatly a genuine 3.0s all the markings engine and chassis number match up, i even carefully masked up the special order sticker under the bonnet before it was taken back to baremetal. .The service history with this car is the best i have seen with a Capri, it looks like there is pretty much every receipt and service invoice from new with bills starting in 1979, there is literally a nights worth of reading there. there is also every mot from new 1982 to 2005. LOGBOOK IS PRESENT AND STATES 3.0S and cross references with the cars chassis and engine numbers .] car has covered 125000 miles Summary Basically i would consider this Capri to be in excellent condition not concourse, but then if it was i think we all know i would be asking alot more. As said will be able to driven away with 12 months mot (no tax) and used daily, I highly doubt there is much better out there for the money. Im not to sure yet on price but thinking around £5500 with mot ... car is avaiable to be viewed now however as mentioned i wont have time to mot for a week or so yet as busy with work.. here a few pics after giving it a wash , will be getting it valeted this week so will update add with new pics any questions text/call 07718172471 email ken300zx@hotmail.co.uk

hey guys , how do i tell the difference between 2.8i capri pepper pots and fiesta ones ? i need capri ones and looking on ebay people just list them as pepper pots !

hey guys, ive not been on a while i have recently sold my 2.8 capri as to be honest i am bored as hell of capris ( owned 17 now lol) anyway i have started saving for a mk2 2door as they are something i have been lusting after for years iv just never had the money ! i reckon i could have 4-5k by september next year ! now 4k can still find you one in need of abit of tlc with mot and 5k can find you a goodun ! the worry is values and prices , will they go that little bit more stupid in price in a year ??????????????

Wow, What a roller coaster week , i have unfourtuntly sold my mk1 due to bullpoo family commitments but i put the funds straight back into a more solid project thats not a million miles away from the road , i still plan to v8 or ca18det this car but for now i am just planning on enjoying it and using ist how it is for a little bit , anyway its a 2.8 and i think its a cracker for the money i give and i am realy pleased with it ! in the first pic there is a bad bit of grot under the inner wing araound the headlight area , would that pass an M.O.T for now , until i take it of the road and rip it apart ? anyway comments welcome

not to sure if they are that desirable on the capri scene ! sorry to be blunt like that doesnt mean there worthless thou as there might be 2 nutters on ebay looking out for a set and they must be rare

ANY PICS OF BEFORE AND AFTER M8 ?

My mk1 is going for bead blast next week to get all the surface rust of it , and I hope that is all it is and I don't get a phone call telling me to collect a box off rust How powerfull is bead blasting ? Will it take out inocent metal ? Will post pica when done !
