  7. If these ba**ards are using this & other sites to get info from the DVLA etc from reg plates, then even if we remove our location & reg plates from sigs, when the next batch of meet pics are uploaded they will all be on show again. Unless they are not posted without having reg numbers removed first. Even then with the amount that are already on the site, it will be a bit like bolting the gate after the horse has bolted. Let`s just hope they are caught soon. I would love to be with whoever does find em, fink I`d borrow my other halfs steelys for the job
  8. I did wonder if there would be a problem for her getting in & out of the tina with that dress on being it`s a two door, but there didn`t seem to be,
  9. If you can`t drive it it`s not worth having it. The Mk5 was bought to be used as our everyday car last year, as we were both fed up with modern tin boxes that you can`t tell apart. Would have been nice to use the Mk1, but as Marty said in an earlier post got no where to park it here, so shes used weekends & for fun
  10. Had to sign that one
  11. good luck m8 hope he gets done for it, theres too many assholes on the road now.
  12. Thanks For the suggestion, I`ll give it a try What I`m trying to get hold of is the reg numbers of some of the cars he had including the Mk1 as I can only remember a couple of them now.
  13. In Last weeks life on mars when they talked about the London bombings, it hit a raw nerve, at around the time the programmes set I was learning to drive in my dads baby blue D reg Mk1 cortina. I loved that car & within 3 lessons could reverse to about 3inches from a wall, I was always cleaning & helping maintain her. When I passed my test dad was going to let me have her. Then one morning he went to work in Putney, parked by the bridge & come back to find her gone . The police told him he`d have to wait 6 weeks then claim off the insurance. I just wanted the car back. Two Weeks later on the 6 o`clock news a light blue D reg Mk1 cortina stolen 2 weeks before at Putney bridge was used by the I.R.A in a London bombing, the same night the police told my dad he should claim the insurance as he wouldn`t be seeing the car again. He asked if it was the one & was told "Sorry sir we can`t tell you that information". I was gutted . So much so that I got a motorbike & still haven`t got a full car licence, but now with a Mk1 & Mk5 in the family I think I`ll start learning again. By the way can anyone tell me how to get details of my dads cars please?
  14. in my 24 years, only been off the road for only 4 of them And did he get nagged at about her sitting in the garage doing nothing when I met him. Soon got that sorted.
  15. I` be lost without my deck & the amp I bought in the 80`s, been collecting records since i was a kid including a load of old R`N`R 78s which I still play on a gemini deck. Going to start converting them to mp3 soon, so I can put the original cuts hiss & all on cd to take out instead of the recuts they tend to put on cd
  16. Good Luck . Its horrible pacing up & down making a hole in the ground & biting your nails to your elbows waiting for the verdict. But then when you get the pass its time to

  18. Think I`ll have to go with the pinto, its economical, fairly gutsy (quite enjoyable overtaking new cars on the M1 ) & reliable, turning over 1st time even this morning in a couple of inches of snow. Just what you want from a 25 yr old everyday car
