Just getting into putting the RS1600 back together, seems spent most of yesterday lying on the floor fitting the battery cable...........now why didnt I do that when it was on the spit? Anywayz think ive had about 60 Mk1 and 2s over the years, best ones got to have been the Big Wing Twin Cam..........one day be back on the road. 10. If anyone is interested I have some period banded steels to sell, thinks there 8in but could be some 6s or 7s as well. Some from Lotus steels, some from Cortina/Anglia wheels and couple Mk2 Escort slotted. Please PM if interested and ill have a measure up.
  11. Just stopped for lunch at the M4/A34 services today and there was a car transporter with 5 Mk.2 Escorts and 2 Mk.1 s on, going from Poland to Ireland! Whatever next, thing is they seemed to be pretty average condition, usual corrosion, one had flat plate welded in place of a floorpan. Shame I didnt have a camera on me. The driver could not speak any English though he did manage to say 'retro'. I was going to put Polish Invasion as the subject but then though you might think this was a thread about a show!
