  3. I've decided that this isn't the route that I want to go down so I'm making the reluctant decision to sell this car on. It was previously advertised along with all of the parts that I had bought for it. This time I am only selling the rolling shell and the original or associated parts that came with it. I have the V5C in my name, registered at my address. I've known this car and for approximately 20 years it has been stored in a dry garage but, unfortunately, never finished. So, what is for sale: Rolling shell as shown in the pictures. Capri front struts with M16 calipers and discs. Capri single leaf rear springs. 3 dial dash. Car still has original steering box and crossmember. All the glass is present - 2 front screens, non-heated rear screen, side glass, opening quarter lights, window mechanisms etc. Radio aperture blanking plate. Chrome window trims. Wiring looms, lights and fittings as shown, bumpers, grilles, seats (front and rear). Propshaft. Original pedal box is missing. Throttle pedal is present. Brand new Consul bonnet badge from Owners Club. If any of the uprated or performance parts are wanted by the buyer, that can be discussed at the point of sale. The same applies to the alloy wheels in the pictures - the car will probably be on random steels when sold.   5. Looking for a rolling shell, either Cortina or Sierra. Doesn't have to be good at all - quite happy to weld. Got running gear etc. just need something with wheels, hubs, steering etc. Anything else is a bonus. Located in Norwich but will travel for the right car. Not looking to spend a fortune if at all avoidable. Thanks.

  10. It is a Mk2 Granada 4 speed box. I believe the second gear ration is 1.8:1 which is where the confusion came in.

  12. Hi, I am in desperate need of the top radiator hose for a pinto Sierra, the one with the smaller hose that comes off and goes to the expansion bottle. Could also do with a new bottom hose for the same car but the top hose is the priority. Anything considered, as long as it holds hot water. I can be contacted on 07866 378011 if need be. Thanks.

  15. I bought this because I knew it was going to end up sitting for years and never make it back on to the road. To be perfectly honest, it's not really my cup of tea but I decided to re-commission it and move it on. Ideal for anyone wanting something simple to work on and they now seem to be cool, especially in this fetching shade of terracotta brown and "contrasting" beige interior. Groovy. NOW WITH FULL YEARS MOT and a wee price drop. Since I bought it I have done the following : Service - plugs, rotor arm, distributor cap, air filter, oil filter and oil change. New battery New wiper blades 13" RS 7 spokes with 185/60 tyres. Not new but all good tyres. Original 4.5" steel wheels will come with the car as well. The car has been off the road for a number of years and stored either in a covered car port or, previously, in a dry garage. The pictures show the condition of the car as well as possible. There are a few scuffs, a little dent on the bonnet and surface rust in the areas shown. The interior is fresh and doesn't smell of smoke or dogs or damp. Quite a nice place to be to be fair. The 1.1 Valencia engine pulls nicely and doesn't make any disconcerting noises at all. OK, you are really going to have to make an effort if you want to upset speed cameras but that's not the point of this car. Nice. I am in no way responsible for the aftermarket back box on the car but it doesn't look TOO offensive and doesn't make the car sound stupid either so it's staying. The car will have a new years MOT when it is sold. Currently at the testing station and due to be tested on Monday. Don't expect any problems but and advisories or failures will be shown to the buyer. Give me a bell on 07866 378011 or PM me and I will get back to you.
  16. Yeah Bill, Ross still goes on about the camping to this day !! As for the sale price - not a question I would answer to a stranger with no interest in the car to be honest. Nowhere near what it cost to build. Nuff said.

I have taken the car as far as I am prepared to go and don't want to do anything else to it. The car is quite well know on the forum and has been around for a while. Original Ford wings 4 spoke RS steering wheel 90 spec ( I think) Recaro front seats 4x Ford mats Black and silver pressed plates - original white and yellow pressed plates also come with the car I can't think of much else but I know that there is more. I will amend the advert as I recall stuff. This is a serious sale and there will be very little if any movement on the price. Car drives very well both when pottering around town as well as when being pushed on. Serious enquiries only please.   23. I agree with most of the posts above. You only get out of these meets what you are willing to put in. My first visit I drove down from Norwich and was made welcome by a good few people. I too am not very good at introducing myself and being a 6 foot odd, bald Jock doesn't really help me in Essex either. However, I went back again, unfortunately delayed 2 hours on the A12 because of an accident and by the time I arrived most people had had enough - I was certainly fed up having missed the best part of the night. Nonetheless, I will be back with the newly painted Fiesta at the next meet I am home for. Hope to see the Anglia there.
