Just found my head is cracked, can be repaired but would prefer not, it's the chambered type for flat top pistons 1600 xflow
Pls pm if you have anything, p.s. won't be offering a fortune for non carck tested items, been burnt before thanks
New roll centre bolt in cage with door bars £250
Bought this off a guy who had had it in storage for a number of years with the intention of using it in my rally car project only to find the tube size no longer conforms to FIA standard. So now only suitable for road rally/ track/ hill climb etc. it's a six point bolt in cage with bolt in door bars, no diagonal bar and bolts will need to be sourced
Collection from Redcar
Cheers
Hi I'm after a rocket gearbox RS2000 type condition not important and don't require bellhousing or stick just need a doner for a straight cut kit. Will collect if local otherwise would need to be willing to courier, thanks
Surely if you got the chance of a shell or car with no id you'ld take the option of adopting one from a car that had been scrapped rather than have to have engineers report done, or risk getting a Q plate (if they still exist) which would devalue your car, granted people shouldn't claim a car to be something it isn't ie rs a standard shell, but it's only an id at the end of the day it won't be long before cars won't be issued with replacement id's to get older cars of the road in which case good shells or years of work may never make it to the road.
ps may have an estate logbook and plate if anyone needs! one to get their much loved project on the road.
There's no denying there are still bargains to be had on ebay but a little homework first with your local m/f especially with stuff that has a buy now only price and you could save yourselves a few quid. (don't forget to take those postage costs into account)
Exactly, and if they're out like mine they get a bit of pleasure routing stuff out for you, and testing their memories of numbers, quite amazed when the guy quoted the track rod end number off the top of his head.
Can't believe what people will pay for stuff on ebay which they can still source from there local motor factors, mine has supplied all i need for my MK1 esc, including 2 rear cylinders (with retaining spring clips) and 2 track rod ends for less than £20 with no postage costs. Try your local first!
Ta for that, I think I read something in classic or retro ford about it but can't find the issue, I'll keep looking and put the details up if i can find it.
Thanks, hoping to get there myself if I can get my mk1 stiched back together in time, if not may have to borrow my dads prefect but with its standard side valve would have to set off the day before.
Heading North the slip road will be sign posted A66 Penrith, once up the slip road take 2nd left, you can see the hotel as soon as you ascend the slip road, theres a burger king the other side of the roundabout.
Found these quarter bumpers in stainless has anyone had any? are they any good? seem reasonable price compared to what people are paying for old ones. www.groupharrington.com
Has anyone had any work done or know of these guys, thinking of giving them my car to restore/build, any other recommendations also appreciated in the northeast ie Middlesbrough area.thanks.

Nice one! being a ICI apprentice I was quite taken with this, it was running a BDA apparently on its first outing for some time, fingers crossed for similar action on the 13th
Shame you didn't get one of the ICI coloured car looked really retro, some excellant rwd action far better than the scooby's and evo's they're just boring!!!!!!!!!
