hi all, i bought a 1600 xflow auto engine + box
i have now got rid of the auto box and was converting the engine to run a manual g/box....
now im having nightmares finding a flywheel...it seems the end of the crank seems to be different to all normal xflow cranks.....
just wondered if anyone else has ever encountered this issue before & if so what did u do to solve it?
heres a pic of myn....
heres a pic of what most xflow cranks are like....
any help will be very welcome...cheers cjay
hi mate i sent u a PM, not had any reply yet though????
m8.i replied to you and you replied to me saying you've passed my no on unless you think you've pm'd me again
oh ok sorry mate, prob the case of 1 or 2 too many christmas jars
i think ur getting ur self into a cuffufle here .lol
basicly u need a xflow flywheel + matching starter motor
then use a sierra 7.5inch 23splind clutch with pressure plate
job done
have a gander at this, some of it is relevent 2 u....

u starter motor is very much dependant on what flywheel ur gonna fit?
as pre ingaged xflow flywheels a quite rare i think?
also u wont need a propshaft the one u have will fit fine..
clutch plate needs to be the 23spline early sierra type.7.5"
slso u`ll need to drill a hole in bulkhead + a wee bit of tube for the clutch cable..
im not more than 5 miles away from southam but dont wanna really give my location away
i have a tawny brown mk1 awaiting resto with lotus rims and it looks very nice ......
