I think, hope i might of got to the bottom of the boiling over mystery. I took off the water pump and found it to be ok last week, but whilst the readiator was out deciced to get it repaired as it seemed the pressure had made the header and lower tank break away from the core and weep. Once i showed it to the guy at the workshop he said it was goosed and totally blocked which he seemed to think that was 90% of the reason it was boiling over which the original blocked stat may have been coming from. So i have had it recored for £94 + VAT and i am going to refit the stat and give it a whirl on Monday if the weather forecast is right as i have to do this outside.....so here's hoping.

Thanks for the link Mark. I won't be goin on Sunday i'm on nights but couldn't afford a bus to the end of the street at the minute mate lol. My Rex is still in bits, lost my big workshop/garage and live in a terraced house at the mo. The Rex will have to go when it's built and after iv'e had a play but i'll keep you posted on the rex forum for that ......long way to go before i'm back on my feet dude !!!!! I am going to have a look at the water pump on saturday before nights (fingers crossed) and see where i go from there if it's the heads i am just going to punt it on, it is at my partners parents as i was hoping to take it from here for the M.O.T. but alas that didn't happen and it's a bit awkward working on it there I thought i'd put these pics on for now that i took on my phone so may not be much cop

Would really appreciate a valued honest opinion of what my Capri is worth as it is ?? Would prefer to sell it on here first rather than Ebay and let someone who is an enthusiast enjoy it it's 90% there now and would like to see it go to a good home after the effort it's had and i can now no longer keep going and neither do i have the heart to be honest, cheers in anticipation of a response guys.

My nephew and myself are trying to find out if my brother in laws old MK2 RS2000 is still alive. It's reg number is HHN 6 V and was originally registered in Teesside at Neasham Ford dealers. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. New to the site (obviously posting in here) and very impressed with it so far , really impressed. Some excellent pics especially in the projects section there are some awesome cars on here. My own ride is a stratos silver 2.8 i Special on a D plate. It's in pretty good condition overall, never welded as far as i can make out but needs a few littlejobs sorting out so i guess it will miss going on the roads this year. Hopefully i will find a few parts on the site or be lead in the right direction to suppliers etc. Also into my bikes in a big big way.
