  1. The origional lump is a 351 Cleveland, and I'm actually trying to buy back the origional lump at the mo... The 400m is somewhere between a big block and a small block it's basically a stroked and decked 351c.. Mainly used in big stuff like Ford galxies and Broncos, it's a long stroke slugger not huige bhp but it's not hard to get 500lb/ft out of them... This engine is for sale now bargain at £100!
  2. well, I would have a 2 door corsair in lotus colours with wide lotus cortina steelies on like a shot.. as long as i could chuck a big engine in it mind!
  3. Yeah I hear what you say, aint no replacement for displacement... as for the looks i like mine but mustangs are always better the older they get, lookswise, ifi had the money I'd have a 68/69 fastback but if money was no object I'd have a GT350...
  4. Ok bought me an engine, I bought it as a 351 Cleveland but on investigation I'm pretty sure it's a 400M which is both good and bad.. Good because it's bigger, bad because tuning bits are scarce.. Cant decide weather to crack on with it or look for something else... Thoughts? anyways here are some piccies.. the mugs for scale.. check out those hooge ports heres the spangly new wheels check out the dish on the rears... yeah thats the same mug mmmmmmmmmmmmmm tea
  5. why thank you fellas, just gotta locate a suitable lump for her.... anyone got any ideas on where to look? I'm looking on ebay and I've spoken to real steel... colour wise I've decided on satin black with gloss black cobra stripes and chrome wheels and bumpers.... engine gloss black with chrome valve covers.. interior is going to dtay stock black on black... (can you see the theme here?)
  6. yeah, they guy i bought this mustang from drag races that charger and he rekons its an awfull drive, far to big and rubbish drum brakes etc, on the other hand he reckons my 'stang drove very well if a little bit soft on the suspension side...
  7. Cheers Guys! now do you think i should paint the back end black or the front end blue.... yeah that charger is epic 10 second NA big block with a reliable 650bhp... made my girlfriend jump a good distance vertically in the air when it fired up i just grinned like a loon.........
  8. Just picked up my new toy, here she is... what do you think? finally got something i've always wanted a proper yankee musclecar.... 1972 tax exempt Mustang coupe with all the tasty Mach1 bits attached..... Came with an enourmous set of Crager wheels and needs a new engine and satin black paint, but once done should be epic fun..... anyway here she is. hmmm current plans are a 351 windsor lump with a four barrel carb and a t5 box on the back, but i may fit a 302 with an auto for the time being Has anyone got any kind of yankee V8 engine and/or box they want to flog me?
  9. If you prime it and block sand you will get a better finish and it will last longer, make sure its amazingly clean and had an even matt finish all over, when you look at it it from a distance of 10cm make sure you can see no tiny bits of gloss as this is what will cause it to fail.. Use a commercial satin black available at trade paint outlets and borrow a compressor dont waste your life with rattle cans, the paint is over thinned and usually of poor quality, and will look sh it in about 18 months.. I can get 5 litres of trade commercial satin black for £56 and its great stuff....
  10. Gorgeous, has it still got the half leather and LSD?
  11. Matt black paint is uber cool esp when twinned with really nice wheels, but deliberately scruffy cars just make me think the owner is lazy/doesn't care.. On the other hand a car that looks like it just rolled out of the scrapyard and blows everything else away has some serious style but as popup toaster says it has to be a genuine one otherwise its just a bit sad deliberately making your car into a heap...
  12. Oh yeah, if anyone on here knows where i can find a 2door corsair I'd love to know...
  13. Thanks for the welcome all.. I'm sure I will bore you all with capri worries within a few weeks... look out..
