Hi all.. Haven’t been on this site for about 10 years since I got rid of my mk1 3.0 Capri. But just purchased a new project in the form of a low mileage mk3, 2.0gl . Bought blind but cheap on eBay. Been in a garden for over 25 years. Now running so project begins

im selling a 5.olt small block 302 v8 and auto box. its currently stripped down for rebuild on an engine stand. i ran it briefly before stripping it down. bores and pistons are good comes with over £200 of new rebuild parts including full gasket set, new piston rings, new mains and crank bearings, new core plugs, oil filter, and a few other bits. comes with a set of holley alloy rocker covers, and a hurst shifter comes with holley four barrel carb and spare holley 2 barrel carb, standard exhaust manifolds, pretty much complete engine set up just needs plugs and leads comes with engine mounts to fit into 2.8 capri crossmember, and gearbox mount to fit same. all bolt to original mounts, no mods or cutting required just needs putting back together. was destined for my capri but car now sold so surplus to requirements. engine stand does not come with it £450 no offers located in liphook. call on 07788554247 as cant always get computer access

yes mate been couple years now as moved out of area. no longer looking to get rid of it as got it out and running and ragged it up and down yard. hows your cars coming along?

yes they do about £93 each. pattern steel ones are available cheaper than that unless you specifically want fibreglass.

over 4 years this has been outside in the fresh air and driven under its own power. owned it now seven years and been sitting gathering dust in the corner of my workshop for the past four of those. finally plumbed fuel lines and wired ignition to get it running and took for a blast up the yard. given my good incentive to get on with it and get it finished now. was gonna try and px it for a cortina but not now after driving it.

steel wings are very hard and expensive to find. fiberglass ones are available from smith & deakin. i have fitted a few of these on mk1 capris and not a bad fit. as with any pattern panel fit wont be exact but you can get nice fit with good shut lines with a bit of effort.

hi, this is my 1970 mk1 capri 3000gt fitted with cologne kit. ive owned it for about 7 years now but looking to swap it for a mk2 cortina as need more family friendly old skool car as this a bit wild for family trips or to use everyday. it is an unfinished project. but needs NO welding body is a 3000gt with the cologne kit fitted, rear ducktail spoiler and deep front alloy spoiler. tax exempt painted satin black with few stickers. front wings and valence are fibreglass paint isnt perfect hence why its in satin black. its got a 2.8 carb engine with 2.8 5-speed box installed and can be seen running but needs plumbing in properly. it has 2.8 axle (non lsd) and 2.8 front legs and brakes, and lowered 2" all round. all brakes working and has new brake lines and ebc greenstuff front pads. needs putting back together, got all parts except exhaust system, needs wiring loom fitted, front screen fitted, and various other parts fitted as well. got original rear seats and doorcards but fronts are bucket seats. wheels come with it are standard capri 4 spokes so dont quite fill the arches. no exhaust system with it AS SAID THIS IS A PROJECT THAT JUST NEEDS PUTTING BACK TOGETHER. IM ONLY LOOKING TO SWAP IT FOR A MK2 CORTINA, NOTHING ELSE. AND AS LONG AS ITS COMPLETE AND NOT A TOTAL BASKET CASE IM NOT BOTHERED TOO MUCH ABOUT CONDITION, IM LOOKING FOR A HALF DECENT PROJECT CAR.

looking for a capri / granada 2.8 v6 starter motor. must be 3 bolt bosch fitting to fit alloy bellhousing manual type 9 box

ive fitted fibreglass wings to mk1 escorts and mk1 capris before. never really had any problems. ive heard people say they dont fit right, but ive fitted two sets of mk1 escort ones to different cars and once painted you couldnt notice the difference. strength of them pretty good. never had any crack on me.
