Just for everybodys info, I eventually managed to contact the Special Branch at Holyhead ferry port. They took all the details and said they would keep an eye out for my Escort. I realise, on this occasion it isn't going to do much good, but, if everytime an Escort goes missing, the owner contacts them, it MAY make it a bit more difficult for these cars to disappear 'overseas'.
