the sun is out my car is out of my workshop and the worlds a rosier place.......if you've read my previous rants, after being very disalusioned after being mugged by a so called enthusiast the storm clouds havegone...... the greenie is back!!!!!!HAPPY DAYS so looking forward to ford fair and the summer......she's running a nice stage 2 head on a 1700 block and although i'm yet to tear the arse out of it is already good fun so looking nforward to summer I Would also just like to say a bigh thank you to 105speed for great advice and curbing some unnecasary spending .sweet.....

Just a follow up on my rant before...... now we've looked at the block on the car everything is knackered, the blocks gone to the engineers for me to be told that the block needs sleeving the crank's got to be re-ground etc etc.........and for cash it's gonna cost me a bleedin' fortune.....on the up side its gointg to be a brand new engine really......cannot afford this but what do you when your in this deep? this man knew that he was literally screwing me over ....i just hope we meet up somewhere soon... anyway hoping to have it ready for the summer and then sorting the outside because i know i'm going to unearth some other shit........speak again when i have some good news .... cheers ....

It's going to be running a 1660 crossflow with a fast road cam and a stage 2 burton head, with single 48 carb, a burton vernier , at the moment has disc's but think i'm going to need more stopping power so looking to change them.....onto the body, it is a green colour with a white roof and currently sitting on 6x13 rs alloys but money and time permitting that's gonna change..... looking to make it a bit of a sleeper so looking out for some lotus steels.... but with all these things its bound to change as what i thought when buying this car was that it needed nothing doing ,just change a few little details but there youy go,if it was simple it would be dull so i will keep everyone updatd and post some pics soon

Just a quick rant really....picked up my anglia from a so called enthusiast last week, payed top money for what i was told was a completely rebuilt car......apparently with a race spec burton engine, only to get home and it not to run again.....i thought it was just the starter motor but as we've stripped the engine back it looks like stevie wonder did the rebuild..... i now need to replace the head,cam, and rebuild the bottom end as well , it is now going to be sweet as i am going to skint myself as i am now investing in burton products that really are burton products...it just saddens me a little ,when the modded car seen is quite a close knit community yet people think it's fine to bodge together and then deny tht anything was ever wrong....so to you the man in birmingham who sold me my car, don't worry the car will eventually be on the road and be a proper fast anglebox, not only that it will be properly built !!!!!! boys and girls sorry to rant but it gives me the raging hump to be robbed by someone who claims to love the scene... cheers ...

sorry boys didn't realise i was writing in capitals! no more shouting.............. anyway on the lookout for steels i think , just going to have to dig deep i reckon.. took the car to wheels day today but can't rip it yet still running in...need to replace engine mounts as the lovely person i brought the car from didn't replace, anyone have a view on whats best? milton's maybe? like to hear your views... cheers

HELLO EVERYONE, BEEN OUT OF THE SCENE FOR A WHILE BUT GOT MY NEW CAR ON THE ROAD .......I'L PUT SOME PICS ON BUT A QUICK RUN DOWN IT'S A 105 WITH A CROSSFLOW CURRENTLY RUNNING ON RS ALLOYS 6X13'S( ORIGINALS ) LOOKING TO CHANGE THEM FOR EITHER STEELS OR MINILITES ..... JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE MAYBE UP FOR TRADE OR WHICH DEALER IS THE BEST OUT THERE? ALSO IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WITH A DECENT CAR COVER (OUTDOOR) FOR MY ANGLEBOX AS THE WEATHER IS GONNA KILL IT!!!!! CHEERS......
