Hello people, just to let you's know, the Mexico I was going to buy from eBay for £4000, but turned out to be a scam is now for sale on gumtree for only £2100, and is located a few hundred miles away from where last advertised. Anyone know who's car he is pretending to sell!? Can anyone trace him, as he is breaking the law!?

Hello again everybody and thank you for you replys and advice, I also thought things didn't sound right and now it has been proven, I've been sent 2 emails from eBay saying I've won the car and and get a free £20000 insurance policy from them, so if the sale goes wrong I'm covered, these messages don't appear on my eBay account just in my email account. Asking me for the money to be paid into an holding account in edgware! So as I suspected and you all rightly pointed out it's a scam, thought it was to good to be true, because it was. So I've still got 4k burning a hole in my pocket looking for a classic ford (escort) something slightly special!?????

Hello again people, you may have read my last message, so i'm buying a mk1 mexico through ebay. The seller isn't about for me to view the car, he works abroad, and the car is over 400 miles from me, but the seller tells me i can purchase the vehicle through ebay, ebay hold my money, the car is delivered to me, which will cost me £220, i then have 3 days to check the car out, if the car is as described (of which the seller garentees me it is!) ebay release the money to him and job done, if not as described then i refuse the sale, the car is returned to seller at his cost and ebay give me my money back. I don't use ebay all that often but has anybody else heard of, or used this servce? Thanks for your replys stewart

Hello people, i've not been on here for a while but i have nearly bought a mk1 mexico avo type 49 shell? all i really know that it looks like a lovely mexico! BUT- HOW CAN I CHECK THAT IT'S A GENUINE MEXICO, WHAT CAN I LOOK FOR WHEN LOOKING AT THE CAR AND PAPERWORK. Don't want to sound too new to all this old skool ford, but i've only owned a tidy 1980 mk2 4 door 1.3l in the past and no one would really try and sell a fake one of those. Question being what does the avo and type 49 shell mean? and i think these are good things to say the vehicle has, how can i be sure i'm not being lied too!! cheers for any replys stewart
