    HI.THERE CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF ITS AN MOT FAILURE IF I DONT HAVE A REAR FOG LIGHT ALSO FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS?THE CAR IN QUESTION WILL BE A 1974 MK1 ESCORT. CHEERS

  7. i"ll have to check again with the radiator to make sure that there are no cold spots.i"ll keep you informed.
  8. I have a seperate temperature gauge as the original gauge on the instrument panel has been disconected, also both hoses are boiling hot.

  10. i need some help. i have a 2.0l zetec engine in my mk2 escort that after letting it run for 5-10mins to wam up, the water temperature reaches 100 deg c and is still climbing.i have taken the thermostat out and manually switched on the fan but the same thing happens.i then took the radiator cap off and started the engine,it looks like the pump is working as water is moving in the radiator.the same thing happens.the engine is running fine and theres no gunk in the oil cap or i'm loosing water. would a different rotational pump be the problem i.e one off an escort zetec not the standard mondeo item. OR IS IT HEAD GASKET FAILURE! if it is head gasket failure how difficult is is to change?
  11. YES THE SENSOR IS NEW AND READING 120'C AT END OF GAUGE,EVEN WITH THE FAN RUNNING THE ENGINE IS BOILING HOT.IT LOOKS LIKE THERES WATER FLOWING THROUGH THE ENGINE WHEN I LEAVE IT FOR A WHILE AND TAKE THE RADIATOR CAP OFF.

I run a 2.0 zetec engine in my mk2 escort with no water thermostat,also i have an electric fan blowing air through my radiator via a temperature switch and a switch in the car for manual use.even when i use the manual switch in the car it still overheats.i cant drive it anywhere without it getting red hot.any ideas?
