thanks for the welcome everyone. Car is coming along nicely now, the engine and box are in. I have chassis mounted the engine and uprated to rack and pinion with capri legs. I will post some pics soon. Thanks again. John

Hi everyone I have a lovely solid 2 door mk1 cortina GT and have just bought everything to put a cosworth engine in it. I have the engine, gearbox etc. etc. I bought a 2wd Sapphire Cosworth and totally stripped it so i had the loom and everything. I have started work on it and need some advice on the steering. The cortina has a steering box and it looks like it's gonna get in the way. How do i get around this? Do i upgrade to rack and pinion? Does anyone make anything to do the conversion? Can anyone help? This car is going to be awsome when it's done and i'm so excited but nothing is simple and i'm not an expert. Also do i use a 2.8 capri diff? I dont think i can use the cossy one. PLEASE help me. Thankyou
