Yes m8 it was me my modern duratec does not like the daily drive plugs were slaughterd throttle cable is shaged aswell,thats the bad news the good news was i saved £40 petrol money on the way home and it was comfy in the aa recovery truck very nice young man:mrgreen: but i will say that will be the last road trip that mex will go on as it it will only be a track car from this day onwards,see everyone at ford fair as for today a big thankyou to osf superb day out a great turnout from everyone also on top of all of that i managed to slip a boat trip in aswell

Sorry lads have not had time to post reply,s , but i must say i am well impressed myself being a die hard pinto man did not really know what to expect from the duratec but at this stage it has got the thumbs up great tourqe and power range exceeding 8000rpm it pulls like a train but the gearing was far to long so the axle is now at ht racing waiting to have a 4.6 cwp ,and a few alterations to the bellhousing, the gearbox im using is a T5 cossy box with a big tooth kit supplied by competion transmission services.

Finally got the rolling road rsults from engine advantages 281BHP ........................218LB TOURQE@8200RPM ALL I CAN SAY IS I AM WELL CHUFFED WITH THAT

i have finally had a breakthrough with the water circulation which has now been resolved after three weeks of expert diagnosis and technical advice (not mentioning no names) the soloution was to leave the thermostat out thanks , anyway apart from that it is all ready now with the exception of a few minor bits will tax and insure on mon,im booked for the rollers on fri and thrashing the arse of it on sat down the a127 ill let you all know the rollig road results on fri evening now please wish me luck so i can put a end to this duratec nightmare i have been having for two years

Yes m8 me too dont get me wrong it drove like a dream with the zetec but even at 170 bhp it lacked good tourqey grunt and was too slow for me but for those of you who know me you know how much i love my pinto and for those of you that dont move out the way i,m coming thru
