  1. Any will work you'll just need to make up the appropriate spindle for it. Usually its a 'D' shape half circle. Oh and check what way they turn as I found I couldn't use on I had because it turned the other way to the 40's. I ended up using a luminition sensor on mine, and I later found Maplins sell one thats 10th of the price for the same sensor!! It just doesn't come with a plug.
  2. Its a combination of the 2 mate. Depending which bit it is. Thanks for the idea on the spoiler, I think we've cracked it, not litterly though... hell you know what I mean
  3. Cool if you can send them over that would be great, we've got so much on the go it's unreal are they standard covers? Send me a pm and we'll go from there. very Ummm just of the top of my head it would be somewhere near £400 as its a bit bigger than mk1 fiesta bonnet and that is coming in at around £350
  4. We'd need some to mould from but yeah they're possible
  5. Yeah we're gonna, they're in the pipeline
  6. I'm using ms1 v3 on the turbo and i'm gonna use ms2 v3 on the fez
  7. I've got one on my S2 turbo and I'm gonna fit one to my 1860 xflow'd fiesta. Its already running megajolt so its not such a massive leap. The megasquirt software is easy to use and if you read up on it first, taking things slowly (if its your first time lol) you will be fine as its so easy to map it, so its always smooth with no pinking etc... I know 2 brothers who are into their V***halls they have home built 8v turbos running 32psi of boost and they run 10 sec 1/4's!!!!!!! Neither car has ever been near a rolling rd as all the mapping is done out on the rd.
  8. TBH I doubt it would be that much lighter out of carbon fibre than it already would be out of fibre glass. I bet a lot of fibre glass is used in those shells though. I've seen the mini ones and they have floors over an inch thick!!!! So maybe a carbon fibre shell could be really light and strong if the right resins are used. I would hate to think of the cost in making the moulds and the assembly costs!! So if you're a lottery winner then step on up and we'll make one Na we'd need a massive warehouse to keep the moulds flat (on trollies) and to assemble it. although if someone wanted to buy those for us as well....... Having said that it just wouldn't be worth it if no other weight saving items are used in the axle and engine etc. For example my vulcan xflow alloy rocker cover weighed over a 1kg and my carbon one which was only a prototype weighs 300g and 150g of that was the alloy filler neck, which the new ones won't have so they should weigh about 150g ish. So imagine how light you could make the whole car
  9. Oh yeah they shouldn't be to hard to make either fairly flat if I recall correctly. i'd like a couple of those that'd rule! Can we have a quote please? that would be awesome but isn't somebody doing fibre glass ones? Will do thanks
  10. Your right we would need stuff to mould from. I'll let you know as soon as we're ready to work on new stuff. I'm not sure how much it would cost without seeing one. I think they're like the mk1 fiesta spoilers? and they're proving to be difficult to mould from as it's so bl**dy flexible and doesn't have a good shiney surface due to being made out of rubber rather than plastic. So it might not be too expensive to make once its there, but it will be the hours spent on the mould!!!!! It has been a while since I've seen a laser rear spoiler so correct me if I'm not thinking along the right lines.
  11. near Cambridge bloody hell im down the road in norfolk so close by as well Not too far away then
  12. It can be done, we'd just need one to mould from And then test it we'd work something out with who ever supplied it. The good thing about us doing it is we won't have massive overheads, so we can keep the prices sensible and affordable!!! i'd be able to supply a genny turbo tail Cool I'll let you when we're ready to go then
  13. It shouldn't be, from our point of view ideally we'd like to do a run of 10/sell 10. Would keep it cheaper for everyone and we could recoup some of the costs of making the mould etc..

I'd be very interested in talking to you about a few bits. perhaps when you get a chance you could email me at nik3100@msn.com or nik@vinylcreations.co.uk and maybe we can sort something out? I'm away for the next few days, but i'll send you an email through when I'm back.
