You could always try a quick lift jacks, like the ones from Rally Design, if you car is seriously low. The little ones only give an 8" lift, but are only 1" tall when down. I am thinking of getting one of these for the Cortina, as I only have 2" clearance under the front subframe.

Most odd. I just tried posting URLs and got a message saying I was not allowed unless I had at least 10 posts to my name, and had been with OSF for at least 2 days. I meet both of these criterior, don't I?
My daughter used to love helping with the wheel nuts using the air impact driver. I would put it on and hold it, whilst she pulled the trigger.
Unfortunately, one day she picked the thing up and tried herself before I was ready. The socket was not on properly and skipped off, then skittled acrodd the face of the wheel. These wheels haven't even seen a road yet.
It will be a while before she gets to play again, but I am eager to get in helping when I rebuild the V8.
Yeah, the meet is at the White Hart pub just next to the A419/A420 junction, 8pm every second Sunday of the month. I have been popping along since about summer.
Its is obviously mostly attended by Capri owners, but there is also a few Cortina owners thrown in for good measure, me included.
The more the merrier. Google "Swindon Capri Club" for more details.
Hi all! My name is Mike. I've been invited to join up and introduce myself a few times, so here I am.
I have a 2 door V8 MK5 Cortina estate which I will post pics of when I am able.
Power is to be from a 351ci (5.8l) Ford V8. Oh yeah!
