  1. Cheers Marky ! I will - but don't hold your breath waiting - I work at a pace just slightly quicker than glacial!! Keef
  2. That just has to be one of the nicest Mk2 RS's I've ever seen - the Minilites look stunning on it! Can I ask exactly what colour it is - it looks darker than Riviera & 'richer' than Olympic? Apologies if you've said somewhere else what it is, but I've tried searching the rest of the forum & can't find anything. I'm (slowly) working on a 1/24 scale plastic Mk2 RS model, & have been wondering what colour to paint it when it finally gets done! Beautiful car! Keef
  3. That is brilliant work!! Been tempted to do this to a 1/24th plastic one, but keep finding excuses to put it off - wouldn't dream of trying it with a diecast!! Respect!! Keith
  4. Once again, thanks very much for the welcome everybody! Keef
  5. Cheers guys, Next rounds on me....!!! Keef
  6. Thanks all! I didn't know there was one ! I shall go look for it now! Best Keef
  7. I'm Keith from Swansea, sunny South Wales! I'm now the wrong side of 50, but that does give me the advantage of having loved Old Skool Fords from the days when they were very much New Skool Cutting Edge!! I went through well over a dozen various Mk1's & 2's ranging from Mk1 1300GT's, Mexicos, & home built 2 litres, through to Mk2 1600 Sports, Harriers & RS2's. I was well into road rallying back in the heyday of the Motoring News championship, & as I had nowhere near the talent of many of the guys back then, unfortunately 1 or 2 of my Escorts came to a sticky end!! How much do I wish I still had one of the ones that survived now?! Unfortunately I became disabled through illness a few years ago & was medically retired last year. Although that means I can't work on the real things any more, the bright side is that I have a lot more time to devote to my other favourite hobby of building model cars. At the moment I'm at the very early stage of trying to build a decent 1/24 scale replica of one of my Mk1 Mexicos, & if it's possible I'd be very appreciative if I could post on here & ask anyone who still owns one of these wonderful cars if they could measure certain bits for me if I get stuck when drawing up the plans? Anyway, enough waffle - thanks for having me!! Keith
