Can't be good hanging the weight of it in front of the axle like that. Boot seems a better place for it. Also, why does that car need 3 bonnet pins??? Is that really needed? Has no one mentioned a super charger yet? Will work on the current engine, will have no lag and great throttle response, and will produce less power all as is wanted.

its all said in jest. im sure if anyone including me had spent 20 grand on, what basically is a piece of history would definatley not go ragging the arse out of it. there is no doubt in anyones mind that building a car like this takes a lot of time, money and skill. but in my opinion to put all that effort in to be to scared to use it (which i would be) to me is a shame. Hmmm, seems he is having to sell it - rather than wanting to. Over on RS Escorts, he says he needs to look after his two daughters as something bad has happened to them. Hey all, There is the original 3 rail 2000E gearbox, and you can use the close ratio clusters (2.9 1st) from these in an Anglia 1200 casing..... I can get a single rail 2000E/Type3 box with the same close ratios (again 2.9 first) from the later MK2 cortina, Capri Mk1 1600.... I don't suppose the gear clusters are the same and could be used in the 1200 Anglia casing. I am going to guess not as the cluster probably changed to suit the new selectors, but I am hopeful I am wrong. If you can, what is involved??? Cheers '
