Thanks Everyone seems to like it, even my wife!!!! Don't get me wrong, the paints not perfect, its got a couple of untidy welds, the diff is on its way out, the sunroof is iffy, the brakes are by application only, the suspension has more knocks than Mike Tyson, the interior is a mismatch of ebay bucket seats standard ford and blue Fur (really), the mirrors are useless and the wheels are FWD offset.............. BUT..........I've fitted furry dice, black and silver pressed steel plates, the 1600 pinto holds good oil pressure and only smokes after 12 hours on the drive for a maximum of 2 seconds...........BEST OF ALL ITS MINE MINE MINE AND I LOVE IT........Harold grab that v8 fire up the grinder and put the kettle on sharpish... P.S I don't know who harold is and I don't have a spare V8.

After having a 260bhp mr2 turbo for a year (sorry) I'd love to squeeze a supra turbo lump into my capri. I'd leave it retro looking even down to chrome and banded steel rims, maybe even beige paint? You can't argue with a reliable 4-500 bhp! For that I wouldn't mind if it was build by Harold Shipman!!!

That looks top mate, I'm really keen on the MK2's looking to fit Mk2 taillights/headlights and 70's badges to my Mk3 if I can. What size are the wheels/tyre? They look top.

Hi my names the melv and I'm currently the only ebay bidder on a capri 1.6 laser. If I don't win this one I'll find another! I've just come over from the dark side (MR2 Turbo) I had a 2.8special a few years ago and really missed it. I'm in cyprus until the 19th April. Then I'll be in Telford (cosford) or Stoke On trent. I really want to get to some meets and shows in the summer as well as eventually create my dream capri (v8 ) I tried a few power mods with my MR2 but it was so expensive even for 2nd hand bits! Glad to back in a RWD ford even its only a 1.6 for the time being although I've already posted a quick engine swop thread! Nice to be here this place looks full of knowledgable bods.
