I've decided to get my Mk1 Fiesta back on the road again after sitting neglected for 5yrs! This was my first car with one previous owner (my Dad's cousin) which i got in 1996! Christ that's a long time ago. So it needs a strip down rebuild and change some of the horrid 90's styling which i'd put on it in my teenage years, the things you do when your a teenager eh!, and bring it back to more fitting 80's styling. The old rust worm has got to a few places whilst it's been sitting - previous to this it had absolutely no welding, so this will need addressed. Got the engine going at the weekend, once the battery was charged and basics checked over it started first turn of the key, much to my surprise. I'd forgotton just how good a crossflow on twin carbs sounds! I'm going to take pictures of my progress so will maybe start up a new post with this?! I look forward to getting back into this.
