  2. hey guys, im fitting my mk3 capri pinto up with twin 40's however ive been told that i need to run a choke cable or it wont start in the cold (i use the car all year round) could anyone shed some light on what i actually need and where i can get it from as ive been told i need a 2.5m choke cable but can only find 1.6m ones online also the carbs seem to be catching on my HT leads as they come off the dizzy cap can you get a cap with 90 degree outlet or should i be looking for leads with 90 degree connections to be on the safe side? many thanks for any help Rich
  3. Hey all, i was wondering if anyone has any information on how to mount the original mk 3 capri indicators in the lower front grill area as im struggling to think of how to do it and any help would be brilliant also anyone know a decent bodywork welder in the midlands area as i want to get my car back to being solid ASAP but im not happy with my welding being on the bodywork. Thanks again Rich
  4. i went and saw the car and its perfect appart from a 50p size scab on the o/s/r wheel arch and another scab on the n/s/f wing which im sorting i can't believe it its a time warp car im picking it up tomorrow and i cant wait to drog a set of 4 spokes on it ill blast some photos up when i have cleaned and polished it to a deep shine Rich
  5. Hey everyone I've recently been offered a 1991 1.0 fiesta with 27000 miles on the clock for £450 this is to get me by while I'm doing my Capri does anyone know what I should be looking for in the rust department etc I don't fancy buying it to then have two cars in need of restoration any help would be greatly recieved. Many thanks Rich
  6. that silver ones nice i think i might go stripped out and caged but im unsure about using either period bucket's or modern ive decided to buy the zakspeed bodykit from Capri Club and im going to modify it to make it more subtle but saying that a axe to the face is less subtle
  7. i was thinking about the YB route but im not sure it would be same with my driving style i see islands as play things plus the pinto i have is solid as so would make a good base engine then i could work my way up to the YB when i get used to the power of the pinto anyone got ideas on the bodywork my mates (chavs) say do it JDM style but i was thinking a mild version of a zakspeed rep?
