  6. Thanks for the warm welcome guys, and I have had a hankering for a "proper" car. I had been hoping to find my first love. a Mk 2 Escort 1300 sport that I learnt to weld on, PON14R. Sadly after an altercation with one of your members and some woodland, the car is no more I'll have to make do with trying to find the car that replaced it..... Does anyone know the whereabouts of JWP603K This one can't have rusted away, there was far too much filler in the body
  7. At least you walked away. It must mean that even though my welding wasn't pretty, and the A panels were made out of steel shelving panels. At least she held together ok when it mattered. Did she still have the half cage in?
  8. Will-do! I was hoping to be re-united with the old girl. Day dreamining of owning her again, but it sounds like you killed her? Regards, Ian
  9. Hi Guys, I "fell upon" this site whilst trying to track down one of my old MK2 Escorts and googling one of my old registrations, what a great place this is. I've knocked together several mk1 and 2 escorts, as well as the odd capri, but I am classic ford-less at the moment. I may be classic Ford less but not classic less - I do have a MGB GT V8 - a MGB GT and a MGB GT undergoing 2.0L 16v Turbo conversion (A Very Long term project) although I'm not too sure what you guys will make of that???? Regards Ian
  10. Hi Dave, I can't help you with pics from the 21st century, but i do have loads of pics of PON14R from when I built her originally. The fact I have just joined OldSkoolFord means I cannot post the pictures, but if any one is interested I will post them to a webspace? I have pics starting with the purchase of the 2 owner 1300 sport, through the removal of all the Fibreglass and underseal, the letting in of new steel, and the addition of the 2.0 litre, capri suspension etc. I wish I still had Her......... regards, Ian
