  1. Hi guys, Capri 2.8i, needs A LOT of welding, in all the usual places, though one side has already had a lot done (not by myself), also needs wings, windscreen and gearbox, otherwise the majority of bits seems to be there. Recaro cloth interior, bilstein struts (no lsd unfortunately) Have video of it running on Saturday before the gearbox was removed. Will get some more pictures this weekend, but would really recommend coming to have look. (car is located near Melton Mowbray, LE14) I appreciate it wont be for everyone, may be ideal for a reshell. Offering up for sale before I break it, would just be a shame not to offer someone the chance to put it back on the road! Serious enquires call me on 07475755588. Cheers, Joe.
  2. Hi all, after just one grease cap for a bilstein front strut on my capri. If anyone has one for sale let me know, save me buying a pair. Cheers, Joe. 07475755588
  3. £1600 without full exhausts. (manifolds and start of exhaust included)
  4. Hi all, after a rear ARB, not fused on size, just need one to get me away. Just as long as the ends are not seized. Ideally midlands but do travel about a fair bit. Thanks, Joe. 07475755588
  5. Anyone fancy it all for 2k? Otherwise I guess I'll break it and ebay it all, just seems a shame as it's pretty much ready to go into a Capri.
  6. Here's some images of the engine, exhaust system and prop, and one of when it was first fitted in the engine bay. Can take any more specific photos on request.
  7. Sorry, accidentally posted before completing writing the ad, now added Will try and add pics later, don't think my work computer allows it. Also have a video somewhere will add that too.
  8. Hi guys, Currently in the process of fitting a new engine in my Capri, hence the old set up is up for sale. Almost everything needed to make a Capri run low 13/high 12 second 1/4 mile times (depending on tyres, diff ratio etc) and light up the tyres on demand, lots of fun. Comes with following- AMC 360 engine: New gaskets, re ground valves and new stem seals Engine mounts to fit to Capri 2.8 cross-member Edelbrock intake manifold(£200) Holley 750 carb (£400) bracket to use Capri throttle cable included New dizzy and gear set (£180) Compcam camshaft lifters and rockers (£600) no longer have the spec for this, but not too aggressive for every day driving 4 branch exhaust manifolds, blockhugger style New filter, oil and plugs. Torqueflite 727 gearbox (have receipts for full rebuilt for a grand a couple years ago) Mount to Capri shell, no modifications needed. Propshaft for Atlas axle made by Dave Mac props in Coventry Gear box tunnel will require slight modification to clear gearbox shifter, nothing major, can show photos of mine. No other modifications to the shell required, clears standard master cylinder and steering linkage. Will require the following to fit- Your choice of shifter, I used a B&M ratchet but not to everyone's taste. Will also require radiator plumbing in, again not a tough job, and an electric fan if you don't have one already. Kickdown cable, I removed this as planned to install manual valve bodies before going with the engine swap, might be able to dig it out. Hopefully I've remembered everything... £1600 Any questions give me a call or test 07475755588. Thanks for looking, Joe.
  9. Thanks for pointing that out edited original post. Mk3 capri.
  10. Hi there, I appear to have misplaced 1 wheel stud (mk3 capri) , does anyone has a spare lying around? I'm a bit loathed to buy a whole new set just for 1. Thanks.
  11. Thanks for that, will let you know hopefully this weekend, might have sourced one that comes attached to a whole car I want.
  12. I'm a little way off too, won't realistically be on the road until next year. I had a 3.09 with a type 9 box behind a 2.9efi and changed to the shorter ratio (and sold the 3.09, doh) Just think with a 1:1 top gear, and no o/d, I will need a 3.09.
  13. Smoke em, would you consider swapping for a 3.75? (will double check it's not a 3.44 first)
  14. Yeah, sorry I should have made that clear. So 3.09 it is. And I've fitted an AMC 360 V8 to my capri, with 3 speed auto, final drive 1:1, hence the current 3.75 diff is going to be way to short for a reasonable cruising speed without thrashing the engine (redline around 4-4.5k)
  15. The spring that keeps the fuel cap closed?
