  1. Well for the price he's offered it me for, even if its just a 2 litre it's still cheap he didn't say who built it as it was in the car when the previous owner to him got him. What's a 203 block when it comes to it btw?
  2. ???
  3. I'd say do a zvh as then u can run more boost without the bottom end letting go, there also very torquey engines as well
  4. Went round to my mates unit today to have a look at the engine, but didn't take the head off as his brother wanted to sell it without, anyway it's a 203 block engine and he's said he was told its a 2.2 but the previous owner who he says is very respectable. He also had a set of zx9r carbs that I could buy along with a full on race head with triple cut valves, full port and polish and few other things, the heads got a fr33? Cam in it (fast road/rally) now what I want to know is; Roughly what Bhp would this engine put out if it was a full 2.2 with the said worked head and a set of zx9r carbs? And also, would it be ok for a daily driven car?
  5. Cheers mr Harris, going to look at it at the weekend
  6. What roughly should the stroke be?
  7. So a mate of mines brother has just bought a mk3 cortina as a project. When he got it, he was told that it had a 2.2 pinto in her, he's removed the engine as he's putting an st170 lump in it out of his hot rod and I now have the chance to buy this pinto off him. What I want to know is, what would the bore size be for it to be a 2.2?
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3EVzixU4OU ive been listening to that recently
  9. does it matter about colour grades? ive got orange floflex on my fiesta and there not stiff at all
  10. ive just managed to get an apprenticeship at my local stagecoach depot. when it came to application forms, everybody else waited for them to be posted to them, whereas i went in and collected mine from the depot and returned it an hour later in person. it also helps if he puts about EVERYTHING he has done related to cars on his CV/mention it when you go speak to them, its suprising how easy it them becomes good luck to him tho, i know how hard it can be
  11. Basterds :@ posted on my Retards Club tho, lets get this car found. was there no other camera's or anything from around the local area to see if any of the number plate can be traced or anything? cant be many of that style van around that area
  12. more desirable = more getting stolen surely?
  13. i thought it was just lotus steels that were hubcapped ill look into it all
  14. So after seeing a satin black standard 8 rolling low on red steelies with hubcaps, ive decided thats the look i want for my 100e anglia. Could someone tell me the cheapest way to go about getting hubcapped steelies that fit fords? Cheers Nick
  15. Discovery turbo, wreck rescue, mk1 capri resto WATCH NOW
  16. Well ive decided to go along with my original plan and stick a diesel in her. If i dont like it then i can always take it out and dump a zetec in there as the type 9 will still be in there and the sierra diesel is very basic to wire up. with the zetec, would hcs or edis 4 be better? reason i ask is theres 2 or 3 mk1 mondeo 2 litre silvertops in a local scrappy so i was thinking of getting one of them engines and using that with the edis?
  17. i caught the very end of that clip and shouted "look mk2 escort" everyone in the house turned to look at me as if i was crazy :L
  18. So i cant decide what engine i want to put into my 100e anglia. Toying with the idea of a 1.8 td sierra lump as no body has done it before and it would make a nice cruiser, but its an extremely heavy engine and from what i can gather from reading some threads, not a very good engine to tune i.e boost increase and fuel increase to get more power. Now ive also thought about a 2 litre silvertop out of a mondeo in rwd format but i dont know what i need to make this work. could i just get a 1.8 cvh and swap all the bits over onto the zetec? Or what about a zvh? im starting to sway more towards this as it gives excellent torque and from what i can gather isnt too difficult to do. My question is tho regarding this conversion, what holes need drilling and is there any templates avaible for me to do this? Either petrol engine would be run on a set of 1000cc bike carbs as to keep it simple in terms of wiring. Many thanks Nick
  19. Was it burnt beyond repair? shame if it was but luckily there was noone injured
  20. Nick

    new law WTF

Just argue that you were flashing to warn of another danger along the road such as a deer or something :L
  21. How much torque steer this is exactly why im in the middle of planning a diesel engine to go into my 100e anglia more for the mpg and daily driver ness, but have the torque and power if needed
  22. No shaun, i baught it off retro rides last year but its sat on my dads drive atm till i get decent amounts of time to do abit of work on it. im gunna use the escort td engine with them mods mentioned when i get round to it. You thinking of doing it to your escort?
  23. Apparently they use the escort td engine with a cossy turbo, massive boost, front mount, something out of a transir diesel pump (governer i think) and increased fuel pressures. Im planning on shoving in my 100e
  24. God dam, wish i wasnt going with my cousin now as i want to convoy with all you guys skimmer, your telling me that your going to do an engine conversion on a crappy german car instead of coming to classic ford get your priorities right What stand are you all on btw? ill come find a few of you and introduce myself
  25. Did you see the 105e anglia that was parked up on the main road? this one
