For a bike carb manifold for zx9r carbs onto a pinto, the flange is slightly warped where it has been welded by the previous owner. It's not the nicest looking manifold but it works and with some cleaning up will look alright. Ill get a picture or 2 when I get home. Don't know what it's worth so start at £100 but open to offers? right bought this pinto off my mate to go into one of my cars but ive changed my plans for them both and going different direction now. so here we have what i was told to be a 2.2 pinto, was in my mates mk3 cortina and he didnt have much information on it. it was running when taken out of the mk3 but i have since taken the head off, clutch off and used the distributor on mine. unknown mileage but bores look resonable and a rough measurement of the bore im in oxford, collection only and looking for offers around £300

did anything come of this then?

I've just been reading up on se engines (1.4/6/7) as if you put arp bolts in them, they can rev to 8k, some people are pushing 220bhp from the 1.6 with cams, bodies and management not bad if you ask me only trouble is there not a ford pcd bell housing so won't simple bolt up to a box without an after market bell housing :/

Yep it does make you wonder why they go to such efforts to do such a good bodge when it would take just as much to actually repair it properly :L my rear arches were made mostly of filler as well :L

Tbf, it looks like it's been there for a fair few years and is obviously an mot bodge from back in the 90s, the previous owner to the guy I got it off was an old gent so I doubt he knew :/ still got to take the drivers side wing off and see what horrors await me under there

Virtually all of my close friends are into cars, most have minis tho which I can tolerate my work colleagues ask why I bother wasting my time and money and my parents, well they just let me get on with it within reason I'm 18, currently drive a mk5 cortina estate as a daily and have a 100e I'm doing slowly and a ml2 fiesta all my other mates go out and get wasted every weekend and complain they have no money, more fool you :L

I've been to the battle fields on a school trip, it really is such a moving experience and I was so interested and moved by the places we visited that I went a following 2 times in consecutive years. Did u go to Ypres whilst you were out there? At 8 o'clock everyday (if i can remember correctly) there are boggles played at the memorial over looking the city and the whole community gather at the memorial to pay there respects. Ypres was totally levelled during the war and without knowing you would never believe that it was was. God bless to all those who fought and gave there life's to protect the country, rip
