  11. Here are a few of my 1/43 models Mostly Cararama but the white BDA powered 2 door is Dinky
  12. Check out www.automodels.co.uk for 1/43 scale Mk1 Escort/Capri/Mk1 Cortina/Corsair models by Cararama very resonable prices too. Paul
  13. Had same problems after having my box rebuilt, went and bought new seal from Fords, went to take the old one out and it all but fell out! put new one in problem solved. Many years ago I worked for Borg Warner experimental garage in Letchworth and we had a load of problems with Avenger oil seals, turned out we had had a huge batch of seals with no wire spring inside worth a look just roll the outer lip back and check! Paul
  14. I hope I am wrong but I bought a pair of strut inserts for sons Escort without nuts. Ended up going to a pal who runs a small engineering shop and he told me they were unusual in that they were AMERICAN EXTRA FINE thread and almost impossible to find. He ended up making some for me. Paul
  15. That's interesting (aka a concern) what reason was given for refusing to honour the agreed value? The premium charged is linked to the amount of the agreed value surely? I will have to check with him I will get back on that one. Paul
  16. No my mate had a nice Pinto powered 2 door Mk1 Cortina written off on agreed value of £5,000 insurance would only give £3000 no amount of Solicitors on the case made any difference. Went on for ages but never got anywhere. Now he has a new toy, the Supercharged ST170 powered ratty Cortina that was in Classic Ford back around Christmas. Paul
  17. Ford Corsair Club are holding their annual Rally this year at Wicksteed Park Northants on 19th/20th June £6.00 to get on to Wicksteed Park and come and see us. Paul
  18. As a member of the Cottered Banger Club back at the end of the 60's we would get phone calls offering to pay us to take away taxed and MOTed Mk1 Zephyrs and Zodiacs because thats what we raced no one wanted them. I payed £5 for a taxed MOTed Mk1 Consul that I used for work for a few months with nothing wrong with it! One lad turned up with a mk1 at Braefield and failed scrutineering because his car was non standard, it had triple SU's a Raymond Mays head and a Sunbeam Rapier overdrive box! Paul
  19. Been a member for a few years but never posted anything so maybe I should get under way! No Corsairs seen yet so maybe I can rectify that as PRO/Club mag Editor for Corsair club. Paul
